You said taking away the new rules. such as the spike rule, would "eliminate" comebacks and last second victories. When it was pointed out to you that comebacks and last second victories did in fact happen prior to these rules you started digging.

Now you're crying about "yesterdayism" as if history has absolutely no value.

It's as if you think nothing existed before you showed up kicking and screaming.

Spiked passes don't lead to injuries.

Not at all. I just don’t go crying about “back in my day” anytime something happens I don’t like.

But you’re trying to deflect which this is one of your habits you can’t seem to control.

I never said history didn’t matter what I said was in todays game getting rid of things like spiking the football would get rid of the excitement from game winning drives.
You’re just doubling down on anything that happened in your day is superior to anything that happened after it. Yesterdayism.
Never said there wasn’t value in the last but this is a tactic of yours and then claim “us” as if you speak for anyone but yourself. :laugh:

Of every team was doing it as successfully, I’d ban it. When it’s just one team, I say to the rest of the nfl, figure it out.

Well there's the problem, relying on injury reports.

However, you're approaching it from the wrong angle. Look at it from the point of putting players in a hazardous position.
 
I don’t like the play. For years and years in the NFL players were not allowed to push the ball carrier. It was a penalty! It should still be a penalty! It should be banned!

Back in the day Tom Brady and Steve Young( with 2 of the best and most creative offenses) would use the QB sneak to get 1st downs 90% of the time on 4th and a foot or so. With the ability to push the ball carrier teams like Philly and Buffalo are now able to get 1st downs on 4th and a yard and a half.

I think it should be banned, but until it is, I think Dallas especially would be stupid not to use it. With the size of our C, G’s and Dak we should work on the tush push until we get good at it.

In today’s NFL on 3rd and less than a yard it is stupid to hand the ball off 5 yards behind the LOS with a decent chance of having the play blown up behind the LOS.
The tush push is NEVER blown up 2-5 yards behind the LOS!

Until the play is outlawed, Dallas MUST get good at it. It is an important play that keeps the offense on the field or scores an important TD.

Ref the bold: I don't think Dak has the physical ability to run the play successfully. The guy supposedly blew out his hammy on a non contact play, what do you think the physical stress of a play like that would do to his legs? Philly has great success with the play because of Hurts. Dak isn't Hurts....

And I told you it’s not 1925 anymore just because it worked then doesn’t mean it will work in 2025….not sure why that it’s so difficult for you to get.
