Cowboys OTAs shockers! Practice Takeaways, Standouts and News

On Williams this is spot on. I remember him talking about needing a specific number of sacks so his next contract would be high.
Exactly his problem as is with a lot of younger players. They are ALL playing for that huge mega 2nd contract and know stats are the key. So some tend to freelance, getting caught out of position. How many times have we heard experienced vets call out teammates for not doing their jobs or following their keys?

I'm pretty sure this is why Schotty is preaching the right kind of players and culture. Coaches can only do so much, it's a core of vets they have to depend on to speak locker room language.

If they come out fighting and losing some but keep the game competitive is one thing. But if these guys come out and get destroyed by Philly, I expect a lot of this culture talk is gonna become a punchline
It already is because lots of the Zone love to hate the team.

A seven win team on the road against the Super Bowl champions in a season opener.

I’m expecting a loss. But, unlike many here, I’m not hoping for it. Not saying you’re one of those, but we’d both know there’s an active element of that type.

Sounds like Milton had a good day plus he has wheels. Looking forward to watching him start for the Cowboys.
