Um.... I never said ANY of that.
What I said that I hope that he gets 1800. Heck, I hope that he gets 2200 and breaks every rushing record. I hope that all 5 of our RBs get 1000.... But I NEVER said that I expect this. Nice imagination that you have there.
So if KC can rack up 17190 rushing yards, how many did their leading rusher have? LOL
I didn't want to do this but I took the extra time here's what I found there was approximately 65k total rush yards in the league divided by 32 teams.=2036 would be your average...
The crazy thing is by far the Eagles both in attempts total yards and yards per carry were the best run team in the league and they won the Super Bowl but then you have one that was around 16 in the Kansas City Chiefs that were running up but they were in the Super Bowl playing and they didn't have a strong run game you remember they used a guy that wasn't even much better than Rico you asked about their leading rusher UMM
Kareem hunt 736 lol less than rico , You know their starter got hurt pachenko but he didn't look the same as he did the year before 310, steele 183 perine 93
So the Kansas City Chiefs that were in the Super Bowl they're running backs together as a committee only had 1325 yards I guess they had five yards in other areas like the quarterback and you know they created rushing yards with the receiver and What not..
That's a true RBBC.. Sure it could be better and that's why we're having this discussion...
But the other anomaly here is the second best rushing team in the league was obviously Derek Henry and the Ravens they got knocked out of the playoffs hardly did they not so we had one of the best running teams make the Super Bowl the 2nd best running team not even go deep into playoffs and then we had one of the worst rushing teams make it to the Super Bowl and yes they lost but this is why this is all over the place I don't think there is a blueprint I think it's just about your total team how you create points how you play defense how you play special teams how you coach it all has to come together..
This is exhausting I have to do this type of research myself but there it is it's all in black and white people can argue all they want how Derek Henry could have helped the Dallas Cowboys last year when no he could not have he didn't even help the Ravens and yes he's a better player than we have here last year or this year as a running back but it doesn't equal success in the playoffs it doesn't equal success usually in the Super Bowl..
The team just needs to get better and we gotta hope not to have a record amount of injuries which is more the reason the Cowboys weren't successful last year..
KC rush stats
17 games | 450 attempts | 1,790 total yards | 4.0 YPC | 34 long | 7 tds | 15 | 105.3 | 7 | 2 | 106 |
