Schotty Ball, how Brian is approaching his big shot

Seahawks fans hated him,I mean they were ecstatic he was gone.if we play that style of simplistic offense we are doomed when we have 2 very good teams in our division already.

See you in 3 months
No, I'm not going anywhere. I'm still going to laugh at all the things other fans are buying into for no good reason. I'm still going to observe as much of the sausage getting made as CZ shows us.

Great article. I love hearing this kind of talk. Comradery is strong medicine.

"I was taught at a young age by my father that you can outwork people in this business. You don't belong in this organization if you don't value relationships," Schottenheimer said.
"This business has never been about Xs and Os. It's about people, and when I thought about it, I can't imagine sitting up here with a better group of people, a better family to do this with. So I thank you guys for that opportunity."
Only if the dislikers can learn from this.

Very good article about Brian and his thoughts and how he is approaching his chance as HC of the Cowboys.

Aside from leading the Cowboys to a Super Bowl, Schottenheimer also has another goal in mind: Build the greatest culture in professional sports. It's something he has emphasized since his introductory press conference, and although he knows it won't happen overnight, Schottenheimer trusts the process he's begun to construct and that his players will come to trust it too.

"I go back to my days with Pete [Carroll]," Schottenheimer said. "I think if you go back and you look at some of the things we did in Seattle, obviously the starting point for me would be things that our players do well. You're always going to start with that. If your system is not flexible enough to do what your players do well, then you're probably in the wrong business."
Honestly, I wasn’t all in on Brian Schottenheimer at first. But after hearing how he talks about building a real culture and actually fitting the system to the players, I’m starting to come around. It just sounds genuine—like he really gets what this team needs instead of just repeating coach-speak.

He doesn’t sound stiff and predictable like Garrett, and he’s probably NOT going to be a fumbling baboon in game management like McCarthy. Schotty actually seems willing to listen and adapt, which is something this team has needed for a long time. If he sticks to it, I think he could finally get the guys to buy in and maybe give us something different than what we’ve seen the last few years.

Schotty Ball ... I think you mispelled Shoddy Ball in the title. ;)
Does this mean you think that he moved to Dallas strictly for the top money, like in College. By the way, with present legal decisions that is being changed with current player rewards. Flag football in the Olympics?

Team...on the battle field and playing field. Real is commitments.

Don't say it three times, or a certain someone might appear >.>
That some kind of discussive bias or just about football? :muttley::popcorn:

This fan is always interested in Dallas Cowboy football. New changes in College level pay will be headed towards the NFL starting now, as well.

I don't care about anything but wins. That's what changes my mind, not all the hype!
You bet, honest discussion is just hype and Jerry's bank account...:muttley:

Good discussion and view...hoooah!

But it all needs to start somewhere as to building up to those wins.
Be happy he is actually trying to make changes for the better.

Yes we all know, need to see it on the field. But it starts in the off season now. Even though many do not think it means a thing. But it does.
It starts with Jerry trying to sell his BS, just like he does every year, and people fall for it EVERY......DARN.......YEAR

To me it's a bit like a woman in an abusive relationship she refuses to walk away from. She keeps telling herself that "one day he's going to change......."
