A reminder that Dak Prescott is the longest tenured starting QB in the NFL

I mean its clear to the unbiased eye Dak is a 4k yards guy if he's healthy. He wasn't always that guy. It didn't start until 2019 IMO. He became a much better passer and had to because the run game was deteriorating. And he also had some weapons at wide out. Its like saying Dak is a 400 yard 5 TD rushing guy based on his early years. We wouldn't say that.
That is one mindset, to assume some one SHOULD'VE gained those yards if he's healthy. Another mindset, is that you can't award credit to someone for something he hasn't accomplished. There is no way to know what Dak WOULD'VE had 4000K if he hadn't been injured. Maybe he COULD'VE, but I'm not into playing that kind of game. Like I said, Romo and Dak's statistics look very similar here, yet I'm not going to play the SHOULD'VE, COULD'VE, WOULD'VE game for him. You think Dak is going to get 4K yards this seasons?

Only if you read the board. Don't read, no negativity. Now, go feed you Chihuahua.
So that's what the powers that be here want. All negative whiners on this board and no positive, true fans here. Makes sense. I guess that's why there's only about 10 true fans here. The rest are trolls and crybabies. I guess either way this site is getting traffic. The worst fanbase in all of professional sports. SAS is right about that!

I don't have a chihuahua. Shepard mix, husky and pitty.

Yeah but Romo was a 4k passer too lol. The years he didn't get it it was more than likely due to injury.

Seems like the same thing goes for Dak. If Dak was getting 4k yards in 16 game seasons I can certainly see him doing it in a 17 game season if he's healthy. If he gets hurt then yes he probably won't get it depending on how long he's hurt.

If Dak plays 16 or 17 games yes I believe he gets 4,000 yards or close to it. Especially since I think we are going to be trailing a lot this year.

I'm not sure what your argument is. You think his 4k yards are a fluke and if doesn't get hurt he'd magically not get that number when he's gotten it every year being healthy since 2019?

I hated Romo too?

I learn so many things about myself from you.
You hated Romo until Dak came a long then you resorted back to him when Dak to his spot. That's what the majority of you guys do. Yes you prefered Wentz over Romo. I have no idea why maybe you have a thing for gingers because you did it with Andy Dalton too.

You ever touch as hot stove? If yes, I bet you never did it again, huh? Same principle here, you don't like it, go teach your pitty how to fight.

I specifically said, my point was that I'm not going to credit someone anything for something that they didn't accomplish. I mean, who is crediting Aikman for 4,000 yard games, because he could've had those if he played in Today's NFL or played on a team that was more pass oriented but instead he played on a team that liked to grind out the clock. You can still argue that Dak is a good Quarterback in your opinion, but you can't pad his stats because you believe he could've done something.

That's what I don't understand. Dak did accomplish it lol? How is it stat padding? It just doesn't make sense. Its like me saying well Dak isn't injury prone and then pretending like the last few years haven't happened.

If its negative you'd argue for it.

If someone argued he was injury prone you wouldn't have a issue.
If someone argued he's a choker in the playoffs you wouldn't have an issue.

But if its about 4k yards you can't say it because its stat padding.

That's not true. I remember Risen back in 2007 and he was very pro Romo. That 2007 team, he had some very good things to say about them. I would have to go back and search, but I also used to read this board before I started posting here and I am sure Risen like him back then too.

Aye if you've waited 10 years or even 30 years what's another one lol?
Yep, but Dak is lately aging in dog years from all the injuries though.
The next hit might be the last.

And I'm just not sure I can cope with anything less than all the Dak led success the Cowboys have had as compared to whoever the next guy is.

Here we go!
Oh wait, what's the new one?

Cowboys!!

Well hey let's hpe his last hit is his last and the Milton show is on the road. WE can only hope.

I never said he didn't like Romo in 2007. In 2007 he loved him i'm sure. I'm talking about in 2016....he hated him....he got hurt and Dak came in and played well then he went back to liking Romo just because he was anti Dak. He's been anti Dak before he even suited up the posts are all out there.

I didn't diss his stats, originally it was said that in 9 years that Dak only has 4,000K yards thrice. Then AC responded to that saying that, that was deceptive. To which, I responded how are facts deceptive. AC could've responded and said that even so, Dak stats are impressive and match Romo's for the most part, and that would've been a valid argument. Heck, one of DAKS best years 2016 he didn't get 4000 yards, and AC could've pointed out that, that was because peak Zeke was on the team. You still can't credit people for things that they haven't accomplished, because they WOULD'VE had more 4000 yard years, because they never accomplished the feat. You can argue that DAK stats are still good, and you BELIEVE it could've been better were it not for injury or the team being run focused on a certain year. The point is, the stats are what they are, set in stone.

Why don't the 10 of you "true fans" start your own fourm?

You guys can just love everything Cowboys all day long and ban anyone that dare criticize anything about the Cowboys.

Doesn't that sound like the perfect utopian echo chamber for you 10 true fans?

How dare you refuse to be a fan the way I expect you to be a fan. Drop and give me twenty for having the temerity to say anything critical of the Cowboys.

I thought we would beat San Francisco in the 81 title game. They had a young team and I thought the Cowboys experience would be too much. However, I didn’t think we had much of a chance against Philly and Washington on the road.
An excellent take. We should have beaten them. I was not as confident because they blew us out in the regular season. I know that doesn't always mean much, but it did give me pause.

You originally said, "You guys will hate him too lol. Everyone loves the backup until the backup comes in…then he’s public enemy number one….to the point you guys forgot you hated Romo but would rather go back to him long as it isn’t Dak."

Risen was pointing out that He liked Romo when he was the backup, and he liked him when he became the starting Quarterback. A lot of people around here remember the local chatter of the back up being kind of good. and Despite Romo losing the first game, the next game he looked good in and people were happy in the quarterback. So Risen liked the backup and continued liking the backup when he came in and played.
