Dak on his legacy - I want to win a championship

Here's where I "destroy' YOURS.

You think because people have criticisms for Dak, they have never criticized any other aspect of the team.

That's the craziest thing I have ever seen here. Remarkable achievement.

If that was really the case, why are there more Dak threads than other threads discussing other aspects of the team?

Why aren't there the same amount of individual "aspects" threads as Dak threads? If people truly blamed the team equally, where are the multiple threads talking about the lack of a efficient running game, league leading penalties for multiple seasons, the defense's inability to stop the run, etc?

Why aren't there multiple threads discussing all of the additional problems? Well atleast the same amount as the Dak threads if people truly, rightfully dispersed the blame around equally?

Again, I respectfully apologize for killing your narratives.

Wait. It is a fact all quarterback themed threads outnumber all other topics. I am not certain but believe that is true on any football discussion board, social media platform, etc.

However, all quarterback themed threads are not created as criticisms. Yes. There are threads created to criticize Dak Prescott. The same was true for his predecessor. Similarly, there are threads created solely highlighting him in non-critical ways. Collectively, they form the sum total of all Dak threads.

There will always be more Dak threads. He plays the primary position. There have always been more quarterback themed threads proportionally to any and every other topic on a weekly (if not daily) basis since CowboysZone was created over twenty years ago.

I understand that you have identified something questionable. However, is it the sheer volume and ratio of Dak threads-to-non-Dak threads that you find questionable? Or is it the number of posts criticizing Prescott that is the underlying issue?

At this point I’m more in the group of, hey you got your bag, so just leave. I know the next few years will just be more waste in watching this loser mark time. Doing what he always has done, beat up on the pathetic teams in the league while being a no show when asked to step up.
This is his last window. He has the offensive scheme built around him. He has a great 2 WR combo. They brought in the OL coaches who can get the running game going again.

He needs a bounce back year in the worst possible way. He has been trading on his “good leader” rep for years with nothing to show for it.

Until he does it on the field when it matters most, he will remain the most overpaid under-achieving QB in NFL history

Deshaun will have that title over him but what you're saying isn't wrong. In regards to his legacy I sort of gave up on it. To me someone serious about their legacy wouldn't play for the Cowboys or Jerry. And I don't fault them for being about the money. I'd do the same in their shoes. Before Dak there was Romo who was the most overpaid underachieving QB in history....someone will come after Dak and continue the cycle.

Deshaun is in a league all his own lol…

Here’s to hoping Dak steps up and plays to the value of his contract

No argument from me that other players sucked that day and sure the entire team laid an egg… the issue with Dak is his coming out and talking about legacy and SB etc… after his repeated letdowns in the playoffs. It’s like he is just shrugging away his past failures and hoping his words alone will atone for past mistakes and get the job done.

Show us on the field. Stop talking. I don’t need a 9 year vet to tell me what his goals are and what he hoped his legacy is.

He wanted the bag and wanted to be paid like he is elite. Now shut up and do it. The fanbase wants some ROI — and his cliche talking points have fatigued the NFL.

It’s why Dak is a league wide meme and why we are a joke. Nothing but front-runners blowing sunshine and hot air. It’s time to stop talking and to get it done.
I dont get triggered by what they say. Everyone knows Dak is limited. No argument there. Of course he is going to give his media bites.

Is anyone expect him to say I dont deserve the contract because I suck and I have no.ambitions in winning a superbowl!!

And I am with you. Show me on the field. I hate when players talk too much. Even Parsons does it and it bugs me.

We are a joke not just because of Dak who triggers half the Cowboys nation. We have been a joke for 30 years because of a guy named Jerry.

I am 99% sure Mahomes wouldn't win a championship here. And everyone thinks that's all that is ailing us.

I have absolutely no problems with the threads criticizing Dak. He's brought his share of criticism on himself.

Criticizing Dak isn't the problem around here, it's the standards/expectations placed on him alone and not to other NFL quarterbacks. Its the hypocrisy that's the problem. The double standards.

We'll hear or read people say, "quarterbacks elevate the play of the other players around him and Dak hasn't done that". That is an absolute fair statement. But when bring up examples of other quarterbacks lacking success or having the same shortcomings... there are excuses given concerning other components of those other quarterback's teams or coaching. Hmm...

Again, I have no problem with the criticism placed on Dak for the things HE can control or the things HE actually did wrong. When it comes to the failures of the Dallas Cowboys, it's not all his fault. When it comes to the success of the Dallas Cowboys, the credit can't all go to him. This goes for Dak and all other quarterbacks not named Mahomes or Brady.

Great post!!! I definitely approve this message!!

That last statement about Mahomes was spot on. Our problems are bigger than the quarterback position and the intelligent people like yourself actually know what's really going on.
