Jaire Alexander to the Ravens

Great fit and solid addition by DeCosta.

Former Louisville teammate of Lamar. Easy recruiting job.

I thought last season the Ravens and Eagles had the best teams in the League. Nothing has changed in my eyes. Solid move.
They at some point will have to pass the ball….

Losing Zay Flowers was a big difference in that Buffalo game. Their passing game was much better than you may think.

Mark Andrews mistakes in the Buffalo game overshadow how steady a player he has been for Lamar and their franchise. And he is their 2nd best TE IMO. Likely is a weapon.

Lamar looked much better as a passer and player last season. I thought it was his best season of his career and MVP/co-MVP worthy. He has to tighten things up in the playoffs (the two turnovers in the 1st half against Buffalo were unacceptable).

Good deal for the Ravens. Good landing zone for Alexander to try to get one more big bag.
Let's be honest. Since he wasn't coming to Dallas, this is kind of good for us also. Keeps him away from the NFC and the NFCE in particular. Heck, we don't even play Baltimore this season

1 year, $6m? Nice. Remember this if we trot out Bland, Carson, and Elam as the corners week 1. Seemed like a no Brainerd. Oh well...

When you are an organization serious about football, you are constantly looking to upgrade your team.

When players respect the organization & the commitment to winning, they are willing to give up a little to sign there.

We have neither. How I envy fans of teams like the Ravens.
also when one of your best friends is the qb

Lamar I’m not concerned with. It’s when they need a big play what receiver is going to give it to them? Can’t rely on tight ends and a smallish Zay.

For him it would make more sense to to go to a team without a Diggs and a Bland...Bland seems to be putting up a fight about playing nickel .
Yes, in addition, while they provide more questions than answers at the moment, if you want guys like Elam, Carson and Revel to eventually become something, they need to play.

Not sure why anyone expected Alexander to come here anyway, and it does seem as if they have some sort of understanding with Gilmore.

Corner isn’t a great strength by any means, but it’s also not among the larger problems IMO.

I'm ok with Jerry passing on Alexander. We already have several guys dealing with or coming off injuries that may miss all or parts of this season.

Completely agree.

Makes you wonder why they won’t or can’t upgrade receiver which is one of their bigger weaknesses.
its weird how even well run organizations sometimes has a position that they aren't good at evaluating. they have taken a number of shot but never seem to really hit on a top of the line WR.

At all. Shocked they weren’t in on Pickens but maybe he wasn’t a locker room fit…but then again they had Beckham Jr….

Some here wanted him, but he was never on our radar

Not for $6 million. We barely gave that to Dante Fowler, who had 10 sacks last year, since $1 million of it is roster/game bonuses. He does have a $2 million sack incentive, though, if he gets 11 or more sacks.
