I watched Bad Influence: The Dark Side of Kidfluencing on Netflix last night. I won't get into all the accusations and denials, but basically it is a story of a stage mom managing hers and others' kids to be Youtube influencers. One thing struck me like a Harvey Martin Sack by my helmet. The main kid, Piper Rockelle was making $500,000 per month at one point. From making stupid kid videos to post online. She had more watches of her pre-teen videos than CNN! And we wonder why the media is constantly posting clickbait instead of news. There is gold in them there mountains!

The Waterfront on Netflix just popped on the 19th. 8 episodes for season 1, it’s quite excellent.

I watched that the other night too. I’d heard all the rumors floating around about Stockton Rush and his recklessness, but figured maybe the media was slanting it a bit. Nope….the guy was a reckless idiot. He wanted that Titanic dive so badly it blinded him to everything else. It’s a mix of sadness and frustration knowing he cost people their lives, including a 16-year-old kid, because of his carelessness. Just an overall tragic story. Powerful documentary, though.

Side note: That YouTube influencer (can’t remember his name) who almost went on the dive before the fatal trip…wow! Talk about luck. He was tearing up on camera, and I don’t blame him as he literally skirted death. Even he mentioned the hull was building up condensation. Eek.
What’s shocking is that no one really tried to stop him.

Just watched the Trainwreck: Poop Cruise documentary on Netflix. Almost had to turn it off because it was so disgusting.

I have to watch that. Did not realize it was on yet.

I did enjoy the Canadian Mayor Doc they put out recently

I finished the 2nd season of FUBAR starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. If you liked the 1st season you will like season 2. It is pretty much the same schtick. In some ways season 2 is better.

It's an enjoyable action comedy. I give it a 7 out of 10. Arnold is looking too old for action like this but it is what it is.

I started watching this weekend, but the scene with the daughter and the bad guy flirt fighting changed my mind.

The Better Sister
Prime
8/10
Great cast
Very enjoyable short series and a murder
Lots of twists

@Creeper I was going to reply to your post about Last of Us but it seemed to be including your spoiler content, so I will post my response here. Your critique is spot on, especially the casting of Ellie who is very different in the games. They also missed the mark on casting Abby from the second game. The games are great, so I encourage you to check them out and see the difference.

I'm pretty sure if you quote a post that has blurred spoilers, they'll repost as blurred spoilers as well. IDK if they'll show that way to the person posting the quote, if they're unblurred while he's replying.

I didn’t mind the casting of Abby. She didn’t physically match the video game version...who’s definitely more built...but I thought the actress did a solid job playing the part.

Ellie, on the other hand, was a different story for me. I wasn’t really a fan of that casting choice. In the game, she had a softer look and, while she definitely had some teenage attitude, she didn’t come off as harsh. In the show though, there were times she just felt like an entitled, annoying brat, which kind of made it hard to care about what happened to her.

I thought you said you didn't play the games. I could be mistaken, and it wouldn't be the first time.
