I said I didn't play the games so maybe that's what you meant? I know nothing of the games. My commentary was strictly about the TV show.

It's easy to do. Not a problem for me. I have played video games, just not that one. My preferred zombie shooter game was Left4dead. Straightforward shooter game. I also played Dead Rising but I never figured out what the point of that game was.

Bosch Legacy, Season 2.

I really like this show, the Bosch series. I am not sure why they called these last two season "Legacy". I get his daughter is a big part of it and Bosch is now retired, but it is still Bosch.

Season 2 is like the rest of the Bosch season. But it doesn't seem old or repetitive. I realize watching this season the character I like the least is Bosch which I will get to in a minute. But the rest of the characters in this show are all good. None of them disappointment. Mimi Rogers as Honey Chandler, the defense attorney, is sometimes shaky as an actress, but her character I think is pretty good. It surprised me to learn that Mimi is only 69, 3 years younger than I am. To me she looks much older for some reason.

Harry Bosch has the same problem I have with Ellie from Last of Us. I get it. His schtick is not following the rules because he is smarter than every one else. But in real life, not following the rules eventually has consequences. Harry Bosch is reckless, arrogant, and undisciplined. Every time he breaks the rules to investigate a crime he not only jeopardizes the lives of other police officers, but he puts the legal case against the bad guy in peril. For example, collecting evidence without a warrant will give the defense a chance to get the evidence thrown out - forever. That could mean a violent criminal stays on the streets to kill someone else. He's even worse as a private detective. His tactics are obstruction of a police investigation, and can still destroy any criminal prosecution of the guy he is investigating. It may be entertaining TV, but in the real world its why some people do not trust or like the police.

Yet, I still find the show enjoyable and entertaining.

Season 2 gets a 7.5 or 8 out of 10 from me.

I will begin watching season 3, which is supposed to be the final season, tonight.

Just watched Balloon Boy on Netflix. Completely forgot about this story. The dad is an absolute character. If I’d have to wager, they were definitely trying to pull off a hoax.

My wife and I burned through a limited series on Netflix called Untamed this weekend.......and we enjoyed it. It definitely leans into the familiar mystery-killer drama vibes and tropes, but it was entertaining enough to keep us hooked. It’s a quick watch at only six episodes.

The scenery (set in Yosemite National Park) was fantastic. Whether the landscapes were real or green-screened, they looked absolutely gorgeous.

I finished Bosch: Legacy season 3, the last season in the Bosch series. It's pretty much Bosch again. I like the characters and the show since the beginning. Season 3 probably pushes some boundaries a little - like Bosch acting like a cop even though he is retired - and Bosch taking liberties here and there. However, I really liked the season and it left me wanting more.

The last episode I thought was unusual. These long series usually end with everyone dying or everyone getting together in the last episode to wrap up relationships, careers etc. Someone gets married and moves away. Someone retires on a boat in the Caribbean. But there is always some time put aside to deal with each of the main characters what what happens to them next. That doesn't happen in Bosch: Legacy. There is no wrap up even those this is the last season of the series ever. In fact there is very little screen time for most of the characters in the show. The last episode is more like a weekly episode of any law and order, cop show on TV. And it ends as if the announcer will come end it with "Tune in next week for another thrilling episode of Bosch". There is no cliffhanger either because it was written to be the last season of the show.

After digging into it I found out they going to produce a spinoff for a female detective who investigates cold cases for the LAPD. The character was introduced in the last episode of Bosch: Legacy, which explains why the last episode was written and produced the way it was. The last episode was actually the introduction of this new spinoff. I just don't know that the spinoff, starring Maggie Q, will have the same weight and vibe as Bosch, although I understand he will make an appearance in the new show. Maybe spinoff is the wrong words since the new detective was not a character in the Bosch series until the last episode.

Season 3 was not as good as 2 and 1, but it was still good. I recommend the series if you like cop/detective shows.

New Dexter...Yes Please. The series they had with him and his son threw me off as I did not realize it was a mini series. Apparently enough people liked it and liked the new younger dexter series that they put this one out. Hope it lasts...looking forward to see Peter Dinklage's character.



This is one where you will be much better going into it with low expectations like a B movie. I think this might be a one off of the slasher series that was on Shudder IIRC.

I watched the 1st 3 episodes of the Institute. Its been a bit slow so far but it's early.

I'm a huge Dexter fan. Can't decide if I want to hop into the new one now or just wait for it to run it's "season" so I can binge it. lol

I'm going to assume you've watched it, but I was pleasantly surprised with Dexter: Original Sin. Once I got past the casting (like Christian Slater as Harry), I thought it was a really good show.

I watched the 1st two episodes. I have mixed feelings. The casting seems forced and honestly, I don't really like the choices for the cast for this show. It seems forced. To start with Maggie Q isn't convincing IMO. Nothing against her, I just don't think she can pull off her character. I have similar feelings about the rest of the cast. Her choice of partner in episode 2 is also unconvincing. Morbidly obese female cops chasing perps around neighborhoods has become something of a meme on social media but Ballard tries to make it serious. Gain, unconvincing.

In the Bosch series, Harry Bosch had this really nice house in the hills around LA with a great view from his mostly glass exterior. It was explained early on how he afforded such an expensive abode. Ballard has a nice little house on the beach, which would cost millions today. They don't explain in the first episode how she wound up in such a nice pace on a cop's salary. If you remember Mel Gibson had a mobile home on the beach in Lethal Weapon 2 which was more like a cops accommodations if you ignore the value of the property itself. .

If not for the connection to Bosch, I would probably not watch Ballard. Since I started it I will finish this season and see if it improves. Right now it is ordinary at best.

I watched the whole series. Was interesting enough to keep me hooked. Sometimes I need a good cop drama. Although I thought the ending and conclusion to some of the murder mysteries was a let down, especially the serial killer who was taking out women with careers. I see the fan reviews all say Bosch was better, so have put that on my "will watch one day" list.
