Cowboys fans feel confident about returning to the playoffs

That is completely unrealistic. Sheesh, open your darn eyes. This team is going to be just as bad if not worse than last year.
Why...and no crumpled 30 year calendars and not an ounce of football?

Have you ever been injured. Never mind, I'll ask the wife...

It’s fans like this is why there are popular sports personalities in media which troll and make fun of our Cowboys following.

These fans buy into Jethro’s hype and actually believe we can contend for a SB, while all of the sound analysts and odds counter such rhetoric.

Buying in to such superficial dialogue is fine . There’s room for all sorts of fans. But we dont normally look to cheerleaders for evaluations and analysis instead looking to those in the booth.

If you can only enjoy a season if you have to believe we can win a SB instead of being prepared it could be a struggle based on sound data including current trends and recent history . It’s no surprise these type of fans are always so shocked when it doesnt turn out well and tend to want to blame others or conspiracies against us, etc.

The Cowboys did have a rath of injuries last year and losing our QB all contributed to a disappointing 7-9 season but we must recall we were 3-5 when our QB went down.

And these calculated outlooks this season are based on several factors including a brutal schedule with 10 games against playoff teams from last year. It’s why we are picked to finish 3rd in our division and not expected to win more than 8 or 9 games assuming we stay healthy.

Now it’s not totally out of the realm we could contend for a playoff spot. Anything can happen . It’s why we play the games. But predicting something beyond that is simply rosy eyes from Homerish type fans.

So raise your Pom Poms and cheer all you want but be prepared for another heart break while most of us prepare for a very tough season hoping we can at least contend until the end for a WC slot.

And with that hope we have added enough talent to begin to rebuild and get better. A stronger finish this season could lead to higher projections for 2026.
Go Cowboys!!

I don't know why it's hard to believe Dallas might make the playoffs. They won 7 games last year with all of those injuries. Besides that, almost half the conference makes the playoffs. It's not some great accomplishment. Will we be contenders? Highly unlikely.

I'll show respect for values that I learned through life...thank you.

What you see isn't hurting my respect for both my team and their play. Handling game changers are the villains.

14-3???

Lol

Looking at the schedule I can see 10 wins without being drunk. What are the 3 losses that you (THEY) see?
I agree I mean that's a stretch trying to put them at 14 and 3 I'm stretching it thinking they can win 10 games, staying healthy is the key... I mean they might be able to squeak out 12 if luck is involved you know when you meet people you know you're going to meet teams and maybe they have the run of bad luck with health like we did last year and maybe those turn into wins that might have been losses...

The Dallas Cowboys have completed their first three practices of training camp, and they are now off on Friday for a break. Dallas is gearing up for padded practices and a camp that Brian Schottenheimer promises will be physical. That’s been the case for the first few practices, as multiple scuffles have already broken out.

While we shouldn’t overreact to three non-padded practices, there has already been a clear winner from the outings. And that player is none other than second-round pick Donovan Ezeiruaku. He’s arguably been the best defensive player in the three practices so far and has had success beating every single offensive lineman he has faced.

A rebuilt offensive line, deep backfield, and explosive weapons, this offense could quietly emerge as one of the most balanced and dangerous units in the NFC. Dak Prescott: Stability at QB in a Motion-Heavy Offense
Now playing and fully healthy, Dak Prescott remains the engine of the Cowboys’ offense. After leading the NFL in touchdown passes in 2023, Prescott enters 2025 with a deeper supporting cast and more schematic help than ever before.

One key evolution in this offense? Motion—lots of it. Expect Dallas to move players like KaVontae Turpin, CeeDee Lamb, and George Pickens across the formation to force defenses into revealing coverages and adjusting on the fly. The increased use of jet motion, orbit motion, and shifts from bunch to spread will help Prescott diagnose defenses and exploit mismatches.

Look for Dallas to blend under-center play-action, shotgun spread, and pistol looks to keep defenses guessing. Schottenheimer’s experience with West Coast principles and Adam’s background in Kyle Shanahan-inspired systems should provide a versatile toolbox.
