Stephen on Diggs - We expect leadership and we expect him to be here

Hey Stephen….if you expect leadership from your players, perhaps you should model some leadership by treating people with basic respect.

Secondly, If you want leadership with accountability, how can it be expected of a single employee in this organization if you have ZERO accountability yourself.

Leadership. Not a word remotely associated or modeled with Stephen Jones.

My view on Diggs' rehab differs from the front office's. The last few years when we've had players coming off ACL tears, they simply have not been the same the next season. Gallup and Steele never really returned to form. Diggs not only was ready at the start of last season but played pretty well. Revisionist history with the new injury might wipe that away, but considering our lack of success with ACL rehabs, Diggs' efforts had looked like a success until he got injured again. Maybe the new injury was a result of a poor rehab effort and maybe not.

Diggs apparently didn't think his rehab had anything to do with it since he chose to rehab away from the team again this year, saying that he had to do what he believed was best for his body.

Now, I'm not saying the Cowboys training staff doesn't do what it is supposed to when it comes to ACL rehabs, but the track record just isn't all that good. I can't blame Diggs for believing he might could do better listening to his own advisers. Obviously, the front office believes in what it has in place, but the players can see that that hasn't worked out all that well. Of course, disagreeing with the team's process shouldn't mean not keeping the team well-informed about your progress.

Man, Diggs appears to have PO'd the Jones!! I don't believe we'll be seeing him here next year.
It was going to be an uphill battle for him anyway. We're clearly going to pay Bland top corner money, and we just drafted a CB that we felt would have been a first-rounder if not injured. If Revel turns out to be what they think he can be, then Diggs will be at a point in his contract after this season where we can cut him and save quite a bit against the cap.

I think the only chance he has of staying past this season, even if he had not PO'd the front office, is if he comes back strong and Revel sucks. Even then, if Elam plays well, then they might feel that can get him at a bargain rate compared to what they would have to pay Diggs.

DAMN DID shotty come in here and stress leadership to the Jones family my gosh, all this leadership talk. God forbid d law comes back we would be in trouble lol
Yeah, you don't need 53 leaders. Leadership is one thing I wouldn't expect from Diggs. Let him do his thing and be a ball hawk again. Everything else is not his game.

Oh and Trevon, if there is a guy wearing with Jersey with different colors coming your way with a football under his arms... you're allowed to tackle him. Yes yes, sounds crazy I know, but try it!
