The Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most competitive in recent memory.

The spotlight in Dallas is shining on three beloved former Cowboys who are also first-time eligible: TE Jason Witten, WR Dez Bryant, and LB Sean Lee.

Each played pivotal roles during their tenure with the team, and now, Cowboys fans are hoping the Hall of Fame selection committee gives them their due.
  • TE Jason Witten
  • WR Dez Bryant
  • LB Sean Lee
  • S Darren Woodson

Tom Rafferty. RIP. That guy played at a high level for a long time. He deserves consideration..He and Mike Webster were two of the most dominating centers in league history. If Webster is in the hall, Rafferty should be,period.

Btw, with Rafferty he also played at a high level at guard. Versatile Center and guard, elite. Played 14 years. Dude deserves it.

Witten gets in. Dez Bryant and Sean Lee aren't even close to hall of famers. Sorry (not sorry) but it's true.

Woodson, maybe, altough seems like that would have happened by now if it was ever going to.

Especially that time when Jimmy Johnson and Cliff Harris got in back in 2020 or the time Chuck Howley and Demarcus Ware got in back in 2023. Good times. Too bad it was just a dream, lol.
I guess I should have specified as two modern era inducted together. I view senior and modern era as two separate selections. Although it appears it has happened once in the past ~45 years (Dorsett and White). But the likelihood of it happening again is not very likely unless you have 2 1st ballot types in the same year.

PFR is ranked in alphabetical order bro
True - he'd be below Yanda if it was ranked by votes.

He just doesn't have that career that you need for HoF.

There are good players. There are great players. There are elite players. Woodson (Darren) was not elite. He certainly was for a few years but he just didn't sustain it long enough.

There are also moderate homers and complete homers. You are letting your fandom get in the way of the basic statistics here.

Maybe you can try to get the NFL offices to fire those statisticians who show clearly that Woody wasn't at the level of others in his generation.

None of them will get in. They all played for Dallas.
Only two teams have more players in the HoF than Dallas. That's the Bears and Packers. The Cowboys joined the league in 1960. The Bears and Packers were in the league at its inception in 1919.

Lookit what happens when you rely on actual facts!

It sort of makes your argument seem totally uninformed.

Now I know that you see the grown ups saying all kinds of crazy stuff and thinking it will fly these days. But, here, you are going to get called out for that stuff.

I have two words for you
Chuck Howley

Someone who should have gotten in at least 40 years earlier.

witten was considered one of the top 3 or so TEs year in and year out so he will get in; I agree first ballot is probably not going to happen

Dez…many stats and awards.

Plus he’s famous.

Go to bed, gramps, you are up too late.

The statistics I presented do not lie -- but ignorant folks are gonna ignore data every time ....

Dez was a 1st team All-Pro just once (2014). 1st Team All Pro is the best indicator of HOF entrance, and he has very little to show there.

He had 1000 yards receiving just 3 times in his career and never led the league in yards or receptions although he did lead in TDs once (16 in 2014).

There is zero chance Dez Bryant sniffs the HOF.

Your data is corrupt due to inability to compute

You can't just say crap and not have information to back it up. I know you see the grown ups on TV doing that all the time, but it is no way to make a point. If you use arguments like this, only stupid people will believe you.
