Micah Parsons, agent 'very serious' about Cowboys trade request

The Dallas Cowboys-Micah Parsons relationship may be damaged beyond repair amid ongoing contract tensions and a trade request.

The Dallas Cowboys may not have plans to trade Micah Parsons, but according to the latest reports, things could get ugly.

Bobby Belt of 105.3 The Fan recently spoke to Parsons' agent, David Mulugheta, amid rising tensions stemming from the failed contract negotiations between the two parties.

Oh wow....now that they've used the word VERY...I'm taking him serious

This guy has an ego...was one of the reasons Higgins dropped him. The clients wishes don't matter to him. It's all about getting that top dollar....and Micah has fallen right in line with what he is being sold.

More of the convo. Longer segment

Specific points from
@BobbyBeltTX conversation with Micah Parsons agent David Mulugheta.
- Parsons’ representation has reached out twice in 18 months to negotiate.
- People around the #Cowboys feel the trade request is not a bluff and it’s real.
- It feels like the Parsons-front office relationship is in need of repair
- It feels like the front office are the ones in need to extend an olive branch to fix things.

EZE please ball out and in 3 years we won't pay you but hold you for cheap as long as possible while soaking in all the attention.
cheap? The tag is worth a ton of money guaranteed. Teams reserve the right thats why its there, in case there is an impasse. It protects both parties until its resolved later. But I bet EZE won't behave like Micah, just a hunch. Employees do not get to run the business, the owner does. Yes Jerry and stephen make us all wanna barf with every word they say, but they aren't doing anything any other club would do.

I have a sense Micah will be asked to stay home by the team while they accommodate his request for a trade. Wouldn't be shocked.

That's how I'm looking at it and I also know that things like this will get done either two weeks or the week before game one and the only time this becomes real serious,

if he's not signed a day before the game, and we know he's not playing game one, then this becomes serious, and I'm not sure about being expendable..

I don't think he's expendable, but yes you're right we should look at that as an injury, that he comes off the PUP list right, before game one ,gets himself ready to play, and then we could just put this nonsense to bed..
he probably will get a new deal or he knows he doesn't want to lose 1.4 million dollars per game and knowing that he could be franchise tagged and we're back in this spot next offseason... how many of these games is he willing to eat the loss of money and be on the sidelines in the background? Three seasons in a row ?? how many how many is he going to do to make him serious, I'm tired of hearing how serious they are...

Both sides have equally botched this, but again if we're sitting here a week before the game and still nothing's being even close to being done, I'll start to worry a little bit until then this is just posturing and nonsense.

Also write that the young players are getting plenty of extra time on the field and that's a good thing but again I have to disagree about expendable he's the best pass rusher we have but they did enough in this offseason to bring in enough at that position it might be all they be covered for a game or two but against the Eagles, i'm not comfortable with going with all these unknowns...

Fowler is the only one we know we can count on , Sam Williams seems eager, but can you really trust him, and the rookie again we haven't seen him against game plans in real competition, then they have Kneeland but he's more of a run stopper.. And I know they have other guys like Turner, and they brought in Houston etc ..

Sure, they can create some pass rush but I really don't like the scenario going into the Eagles game without Parsons.

I don't care about camp, but I do care about him missing the Eagles game.
Fowler?
The guy who hasn’t barely strung together 2 consecutive good seasons his entire career?

Micah is for sure a hell of a talent. However, I just don't think he's worth at this point after stating he no longer wanted to be a Dallas Cowboy. Is it really a good idea to sign over a huge contract to someone who doesn't want to play for the organization. I would be very apprehensive about it.

So not only is Parsons career shortened by the choice to make him a DE and go up against constant double teams, Jerry attempted to swindle him by doing an end-around his agent.

Now, fans are turning on him despite the fact that he is by far the Cowboys best player and makes everyone around him better.

When have you heard about Parsons being arrested for battery or weapons possession? When has he ever been suspended for drug use? He's been a perfect citizen and representative of the Cowboys organization.

Only one other players had double digit sacks in his first four years and I know his best is to come under the new DC.

Be careful what you wish for.

ditto. Deep down, is that why he actually turned down the verbal offer? MAYBE he doesn't wanna be here under any terms. I think writing is on the wall and its time to cut bait, sell high. Get everything we can for him. Hès going to be a malcontent.

Jerry loves the attention more than winning. If you had doubts before, you should not now!

As Jimmy would say ..... Time to stick a fork in it, it's done. He can retire then and enjoy the rest of his life and what could have been.

Ive said this as well, so I have mixed feelings on him. BUT remember this, Micah has said he no longer wants to play LB and hes a fulltime end. He kinda did it to himself. Maybe we should have never moved him at all and just left him at LB. We created a problem.

The team retains his rights, contractually, through the terms of his deal. We do not "own" him.
come on man leave that alone - everyone understands what the term own meant in the context of this discussion - theres no need for you to state it
