Jerry and Irvin on Parsons contract

How has Jerry been trashing Micah?

Maybe the agent indirectly, yes, but I haven't heard him spewing venom about Micah himself.
It wouldn't hurt my feelings if Parsons fired his current Agent. Boo Hoo :flagwave:

Jethro loses either way on this one . He’s either going to overpay or lose a generational talent.

Curious who you are following or in your world that is claiming Jethro is winning on this? Or are you on your own island.
No team ever does this, but I wouldn't put anything past Jerry. Who do you think wins if Parsons is tagged twice after this season? Do you believe that is what the Agent wanted for his client?

The Cowboys lose cause Parsons will leave after the Tags assuming he doesn’t sit out.

Jerry should watch the Netflix documentary to refresh his memory or perhaps to learn for the first time that team chemistry and camaraderie are essential to winning. Why keep an unhappy player and let him lounge around the facility grouching about his unhappiness and becoming a huge national media and locker room distraction? Jerry should have wrapped this contract up in February or traded him before the draft. Now, it's a mess that's going to drag on into the season.

That's a tiny minority at this point. Most can't stand him.

But Jerry being a problem doesn't mean he's wrong on every single issue, either.
Sure but It comes down to is he part of the solution or part of the problem.

The fact someone is on wrong side on most or the biggest issues should overshadow anything they may get right.

Parsons hasn’t done anything wrong. We don’t even know what contract if any Jethro’s offered.

How could anyone n their right mind not believe Parsons payday is due . We’ve known this was coming for a couple years now.

The Market Price was set earlier with latest two top edge rushers . It’s like with any position . The next contract is always the biggest. By waiting until these last 2 were signed we’ve placed ourselves in this position.

If we wanted to be below or at what they were signed at we should have signed him earlier. Waiting always cost you more for the top talents in the league.

And while like last year when there was doubt whether Dak was worth a league leading Market contract I can’t imagine many believing Parsons isn’t .

And why it’s beginning to look like we’re going to lose him and perhaps he doesn’t want to be here any longer. I can’t say I blame him.

The post by atlantacowboy spells out why teams never do that. If he sits out games, it will totally demoralize the team. Season over IMO. But that's the only way Jerry can truly stick it to the agent, if that's what he wants. Like I said, nothing he does surprises me.

It’s rare when Tagged players remain with the team.

I believe Dak was first QB tagged to remain with team.

If Jethro doesn’t get him signed before season begins or shortly after it’s over IMO.

I've said this before. Parsons should have been extended after his 3rd year when the market value was just below 35M. The difference in average cap hit per year is stunning.

Maybe Jerry just wants him to play out his contract. Is that terrible? It's obvious he doesn't care about cap hits.

No kidding. Again, very few don't think Jerry is a major problem overall. We all know this.

However, that doesn't mean Mulugheta is automatically right in this situation.

If we don’t want to resign him then we should trade him while his value is at its height.

If he gets hurt playing out his contract then his trade value could lower.

I'm pretty sure the trade value is lowered no matter what. They would need to tag and trade him. Why wouldn't the other teams just wait?

Jerry has been in a funk since the GB playoff loss. He really thought he had built the right team with the right guys, and they just imploded before his eyes. I don't think he has had the same enthusiasm for paying these guys , since it apparently doesn't matter.

It’s not just about money. It’s supposed to be about winning. I know that’s not always true here. Without Micah Parsons, this team is not a realistic playoff team.

So yeah, Jerry can count his money while once again watching the playoffs on TV.
Many would say with him they are not a realistic playoff team. And do you think it is going to bother Jerry one bit? He isn't the only NFL owner that doesnt really care about winning. It's a cash cow for all of them.
