Jones family - It's time for an intervention

All y’all should watch the Netflix special on the cowboys.
It might explain something’s!

In short it’s Jerry’s business.
If you don’t like it pull for some other team.
In the words of the rock…. It doesn’t matter what you think!

Why would they intervene to stop something that has made the entire family more money than they could spend in more than100 lifetimes?
I would hope out of the big Jones clan one of them would have the backbone and stand up against tarnishing the Star as Jerry’s been doing.

Well, well, look here, we have a "sub human" dogging Jerry. What happened to all your rah rah rah crap? Hypocrite.

30 years from national championship to Super Bowl. So I’m thinking we’re really close. Lol.

Somewhere, thousands of pots and kettles are fighting a vicious, blood-thirsty war, over the sole right for which of the two should call themselves black.
I prefer the dark gray, myself . I like leaving the door open when I’m dressing. Lol.

Jerry’s already inflated ego has grown exponentially in the last few years. Probably thinks because he has the most valuable sports franchise that he rules the sports world. He’s certainly had some success with his 3 Super Bowls and billions in the bank. But what he’s doing lately with these star player negotiations is hurting the football team. It’s a distraction. A huge distraction. Now Jerry likes the distraction, “Any news is good news for the Cowboys” but this is getting out of hand. Time to do something Stephen and kids. It’s all about Jerry right now when it should be all about the team. Please do something about because the Cowboys are currently the biggest joke in the NFL because of all this contract negotiation nonsense.
At this point Jerry is probably a certified megalomaniac. It comes with time. With years of success, power, money, it certainly isn't humbling. But an agent with a superstar probably has an edge to them as well. Now here we are.

Fantastic post. The kids need to takes the keys away from Grand Pa.

I've said this before and I will say it again.

Any Cowboys fan under the age of 35 would struggle to remember this team in the Super Bowl. I was a senior in high school in 1996 and now I am 47.

Only the most die-hard fans will continue to support a loser. Unless something changes at the top this team's popularity is in real danger of fading away as the fan base slowly grows younger and younger. We will soon become the Jaguars or Titans with a richer history.
Last time they won a Superbowl I had a full head of hair two small children. Now I have no hair and a grandfather. Damn!!

Are you a Cowboys fan?
Yep and for years and years of ineptness I continued to spend my money on this team but I realized I was just fueling this nonsense a long time ago. You can continue to pony up though.

Love misery then if you truly felt only that alone as you say. To the point of stupid, maybe.

I have been their fan since Day One...and haven't attained senility, thank you.

214 wins and 119 losses under Murchison
312 wins and 253 losses under Jones

Under Jerry Jones, the Cowboys’ record is 312-252. Since he’s been the owner, the Cowboys have won three Super Bowls, in 1993, 1994, and 1996. Jones saw the most success in his first decade with the team, with the Cowboys making seven playoff appearances, six division titles, four conference championship games, and the first team to win three Super Bowls in four years.

Unfortunately, since then, the Cowboys have seen no postseason success. In the playoffs, the Cowboys are 16-15 under Jones.

Playoff record under Landry - 20 wins 16 losses

Landry led the Giants defense to the top of the league from 1956-1959 and was the originator of the “4-3” defensive formation that revolutionized the game. As a young up-and-coming coach with tremendous connections, He started in Dallas as strength on the defense, first. He was later given a confidence vote by Murchison.

Dallas now has strength in the defensive coaching staff once again. This is a relative issue..

Win percentages including playoffs:

Landry - 67%
Jones - 55%

Note: Landry had 20 winning seasons consecutively

If Jerrys all about the money, would he sell the team to one of those middle eastern "sovereign wealth funds" for way more than its worth? $50bn maybe?

They seem to be buying into pro sport in a big way. Only a matter of time before they try and buy NFL teams for crazy money.

BTW I dont agree with their sports washing approach and wouldnt like this to happen.

Sign him or trade him I don’t care. Just do something instead of being the laughing stock of the NFL.
I sort of agree on this but I challenge the laughing stock part as a negative

Making headlines - making billions - everyone hates the team or loves them

Remaining in the spotlight is better than not

Ask Cleveland fans about laughing stock of NFL
Irrelevant - not even mentioned half the time
Do they even exist in this NFL machine

Cowboys are not a joke or a laughing stock because they drive and churn this marketing machine and maintain relevance in the NFL

Highest rated / viewed games
Most national stage presence - heck world stage

So laughing stock —— nah

Does anyone here think that things will get better after Jerry leaves?

Does anyone believe that Stephen is smart enough to hire a qualified GM?

Has Stephen Jones ever actually had to earn something on his own?

It's the entire family that needs an intervention. The best case scenario would be the children selling the team after Jerry departs.
The only hope is once Jerry is gone and Stephen doesn't have to suck up to him 24/7 that he realizes they'd be bettt off hiring a proper GM. That could happen.

That assumes that Stephen is first a fool right now...
