Fix it for you when's the last Homegrown superstar that we drafted it turned it into an elite player Did Jerry not sign he's never let not one of them go from the rookie contract to their 1st big deal they've all been signed and yes some of them have been dragged out but not all of them Trayvon Diggs didn't do this tyron Smith didn't have to do this There's been so many i'm not gonna even list them here I mean you know how many contracts Jerry sign since 1989 how many players and it's very rare that this happens yes and recently it feels like it's happening more often than not but these contracts have become insane..

The new narrative they don't wanna be top 5 anymore Just within their group you know against their other peers that do the same thing in the NFL they wanna be the highest paid non quarterback in the league they want more guaranteed money they're pushing for 100 percent guarantees..

This is a new age and yes Jerry makes it worse but still there's a good reason for it.. I mean not to make excuses for him but this has become insane on the money these players want...

It's happening on more teams than just the Cowboys the Cowboys are at least five times more covered and talked about than other teams so it just seems worse..
Sooner or later the owners are going to have to make a stand. Jerry seems like the owner to do it if he was really pissed enough to do so. You can’t have everyone on your team making QB money.

Micah doesn’t want to play for the Cowboys. Flat out. I would be worried if we paid him. He doesnt seem to enjoy football that much and is more worried about getting paid. Championships don’t motivate him. Money does. He quit on his Penn State team to preserve his draft stock. He has said before he doesn’t want to play long.

The best thing we can do is get three firsts and change for him.

The bottom line is you can't win with Super Stars on your team. Maybe on their rookie deal, but you can't pay QB's and 2 other Super Stars and expect to have a balanced team.

Trade them for a kings ransom, to a crappy team that needs to sell tickets. Or trade them to a great team and close their window, by picking up all their FA they can no longer afford.

Man they need to put an extra blue tent out there for Micah to sleep in !!!!!!!!!

I wouldnt want him on my sideline, unless he keeps his butt in the tent.

Maybe give him water boy dutys or something ? Cheerlead with the girls ?

ie. Jerry signs him for 42 large ones x 5 years, tomorrow morning

Just looks bad.......no other way to put it. IF you want to be the highest non-QB player in the league, you have to know eyes are ALWAYS on you. Here is my fear.......there is an old saying, money doesn't change a person. Only brings out MORE of your true character.
Right after the season, he talked about this now being his team and how he has to show more leadership. Well, so far, he is struggling ........not setting good examples or showing maturity.
Unfortunate Owners and front office personnel have no spine any more...sans a few who might do the right thing when called upon.

Messrs Parsons N Jones are both at fault...its Jones circus and the fox runs the hen house.

Reflective of society as a whole. Its a shame

Go Cowboys!

I doubt that’s the case.

i doubt that. He’s on 5th year option and could be tagged twice but you’d be paying him more that it would cost to just sign him. Second tag gets really expensive. It’s 120%. If Jerry isn’t gonna sign him then trade him. Jerry has so screeed this whole thing up and the league is gonna be looking at his attempts to bypass the agent. This could be the second time he’s did that and the fine may be mighty hefty
Did he try to bypass the agent? Or did he try to work something out with the player and try to present that to the agent? He probably shouldn't have done that, but whatever the agent told him, he's not happy about it.

Guy is an immature baby. Disappears in big games. Very rarely dominant
after week 12. You just can't pay him. Problem is Jerry has back himself into the corner. The league knows Jerry is a buffoon and will try to screw him in a trade. They should have kept their mouths shut and traded him a while ago.

Well you can but they must be Super Stars. Our QB isn’t . Strike 1.

Jethro thinks his charm can cozy up to these stars and circumvent the agents.

This time it’s going to cost him either over paying or losing a top talent.

And the league is investigating if there was tampering violating CBA.

The agent told Jerry to still it up his backside. Not in those words, but that's how Jerry translated it. By angering a billionaire owner, everyone loses.

I'm a Dallas Cowboys NFL fan.

I didn't sign up for "Peyton Place" or "Dallas".

I don't care about the math that goes into the salary cap.

I don't care about how much the franchise is worth.

I don't care about the experience or the lineage of the head coach.

I don't care what who thinks about who.

I care about my team winning football games....enough football games to where my team is declared the best.

That is what i care about.

They can keep their drama, their stadium, their salary cap, their contracts., their cheerleaders, their owner and family, their media exposure.....they can keep all of that.

Win!

You said it yourself, Jerry, it was the first thing you said, "We must win!"

Do that or step down and give someone else a chance to do that.

He admitted he tried to bypass agent and it’s happened before

The total $ amount is significantly cheaper. Jerry would not spend the saved cap space anyway.

There is no reason to be paying people millions of dollars 2 years after they are gone.
The paying after they are gone is just the standard today. Every team does it because they know where the cap will be then. But it’s a choice, and you decide to take the hit when you want. But playing on the 5th year option and tagging twice is definitely more money over 3 years and that last year is a massive cap hit
