If an Eagles fan posted a thread titled "Micah Parsons is TRASH, not even a top 10 DE!", this forum would rush to the battlement to go defend him. "3x All-Pro", "future Hall of Famer", all that.

But since our stupid owner has royally screwed up contract negotiations with Parsons, and looks to be on the verge of losing him, now we've got to convince ourselves that we're all OK with that.

IDK....if this is the case, NO way in hell does a deal under these circumstances. Remember, Jerry's medical is saying he is healthy enough to play.

I think it's a bit like DeMarcus Lawrence not being willing ot have surgery until after getting his big deal. It's simply risk aversion without assurances. Jerry eventually caved because waiting would have cost Lawrence playing time. Parsons is wanting a doctor to say there is some risk to force Jerry's hand.

How do you know he has no back issue?

If he had a new deal he could risk playing somewhat injured. I wouldn't play with a back injury that could get far worse and cost me hundreds of millions.

Incredible you guys think leadership means he shouldn't demand to be paid his value, like every other elite player does on every other team. Their teams just sign them or move on way in advance, not this ridiculous game Jerry is playing.

I dont think either one is bluffing. It's more of a pissing contest at this point. We, the fans, lose with this mess.
