It is funny that the fifth year LB pay is more than the 5th year DE. Even funnier he wants to call himself a LB but wants to be paid DE money which is much higher. Just sign your damned deal for 40+ million a year and quit worrying about silly crap.
Its beyond stupid at this point.

Low key, that's an excellent draft.

Go check out some past drafts by other teams. I don't care what teams, I don't care what time period. The median is about 2 starters in a draft class, and some spare parts. Longtime backups, guys that had 1 big season, etc.

We got two starters from the 2021 draft, and they are good ones. Osa is a plus starter, Micah is a plus-plus-plus starter on a Hall of Fame trajectory. Golston is your classic spare part type who worked his way up to becoming a good 3rd DE.

Very few teams do better than two plus starters, in any year.
very true; and yet that done year by year for the boys would not be enough to build a championship team
and when you get what look like real dogs like 2023...

Its going to be so funny when all of you see him and Jerry at the table announcing his new contract.

Y'all dont learn.

This is quite literally ALL an act. All part of the marketing and media attention Jerry loves. There is already a deal. Its done.

Just waiting for a slow news day to announce it.
This feels like cope. Just waiting for a slow news day to announce? The season is literally 8 days away

Translate: They are now fighting over whether or not he plays

It ain't a fight. If you go out looking for a doctor to confirm your back pain is legitimate, you will absolutely find that doctor.

He ain't playing week 1, unless he's extended. Then we will all see the magic healing properties of money.

Yes, unless the Ravens designate him as one of the four "protected" PS players that teams declare every Tuesday.

I just don't understand the Okoye obsession here. He was waived yesterday. 30 other teams besides the Cowboys could have put in a claim. Nobody did.
I'm just looking for a way to improve the middle of the D line. If this guy doesn't do that, no sense bothering with him.

Lol!!! Always knew you were a little guy....gone through life with a wedgie...that explains it. Sorry the big boys picked on you....you'll be ok, little one
I bet something you want to brag about is very small

I know football forums arent for everyone, but I will keep talking about the Cowboys, players, coaches, GM/owner even if hurts some feelings.
he is one of those that unless you are a homer you are not welcome

Looks like nobody did.
We need to make it happen lol The Mazi experiment needs to end. IDK if he just ain't try hard because it was preseason but again jags he looked terrible other than the play where they left him unblocked. Maybe he looks better in practice.

Defensive Tackles (5)

Osa Odighizuwa, Mazi Smith, Solomon Thomas, Perrion Winfrey, Earnest Brown IV

Osa Odighizuwa remains the most consistent interior disruptor on the roster, while Mazi Smith likely only makes the team out of necessity and organizational pride.

Veteran Solomon Thomas brings experience and versatility, able to play across multiple spots on the line.

Perrion Winfrey provides depth and pass-rush upside from the inside, with the capability to take his game to the edge if needed.

Earnest Brown IV, officially listed as a defensive end, makes the roster because of his flexibility to slide inside when needed.

That kind of positional versatility is exactly what the Cowboys’ defensive line thrives on.

Missed the cut: Jay Toia, Denzel Daxon
I personally don't see top 10 run stopping defense

So Diggs throws his teamate under the bus telling us that he is a liar.

No wonder Micahs back is hurting. Mine would too with all those so called teamates and friends that stab him in exactly that body part.
Micah and Diggs are close. I am sure they speak to each other every day. I trust what Diggs says over anyone else not close to the situation.

Nowhere did Diggs call Parsons a liar. The whole "trade me" thing from Micah was a ploy to force the Cowboys' hand. Remember a year ago when CeeDee Lamb removed all references to the Cowboys from his social media before he got paid?

I was thinking this all offseason--that Micah would end up signing the contract basically at the coin toss. But getting a second opinion on his back feels like he really plans to miss games.

He’s using his physical talents and abilities to get paid as much as possible before his body gives out our he suffers a career ending injury. I’ve got no problem with someone playing to their strengths and wanting to be set financially when it’s all over. Father Time eventually gets paid in full.
So you're telling me his rookie contract didn't set him and family up financially already???? The next one will pave the way for his grand kids kids and beyond. His 1 game check could feed many of the unfortunates out there. I don't feel sorry for any entertainers that are paid well.

He should probably be looking at insurance policies as well since that is such a big concern for him and any player in this damn league.
