He should sit out... no need to risk a major injury.
Major injury? lmao. The only injury he has are hurt feelings. You know how to heal his back in a New York second. Pay him what he wants and "POOF" healed.
Punk!

Then why sign him, two Mazi balls are not needed. He needs to upgrade the position, not duplicate it. Need to raise the bar. I feel he can but we will see.
Well, we’re pretty desperate at DT.

While neither Mazi nor Winfrey would have even made the cut in Baltimore, they will likely play a decent number of snaps here.

I imagine only Osa would even make the Ravens for instance.

You did read my post, right? No rookie agreed to anything in the CBA. They agreed to terms that allows them to play. Terms put in place by others. They agreed to them none the less. It's the 2nd contract that is truly a mutual agreement.
I read it but they agreed to the terms and therefore the contract, terms put forth by the NFLPA, who represent them, and the NFL. They have 2 options, they can agree to the terms or not play. I am part of union, that’s essentially what NFLPA is who negotiated rookie contracts.

Speaking for myself, they are about ready to freeze our pay raises for 5 years in order for us to work less days, that was negotiated through our union. I can agree to it or quit, it’s that simple. New hires )rookies) who come on will already know this, they can decide to agree to that “contract”, find another line of work or find another place to work.

We don’t get to say “I individually don’t like that term, so I refuse to work until I get paid more”. Micah knew the deal before he joined the NFL, he can take it or leave it.

So if they didn’t agree agree to anything in the CBA, what terms did they agree to that allows them to play?

Good points but I feel like Zeke was more likeable. Probably all it is.
I can respect the honest answer, as much as I don’t like loud mouth Micah, I would give him an A+ on like ability compared to zeke who I would give an F-

Most fans are prisoners of the moment.

I have no problem with what Parsons is doing. Hundreds of players have done it over the years. I pointed out yesterday the revered Emmitt Smith held out while he was under contract.
And CeeDee and Dak and Martin, and Zeke and Duane Thomas, and Irvin.

Maybe Zeke knew that by the end of his contract he would be nothing like rookie Zeke.

For those hoping for a Micah trade, I read something yesterday where teams like the Packers are interested, they are not willing to give up the draft picks that people have suggested it would take to get Micah from t Cowboys. It could be teams just want to see if they can swindle Jerry, who has been known to get the worse end of the deal in trades, or if they just don't want to give up draft capital they need to build their own rosters.
First of all the Packers may be interested but they're not interested by the way you've been reading spoof spam clickbait none of that is even remotely true the only thing that's true is most teams would be interested except for he's not going to any team in the NFC East, Will not go to any threat or to any of our rivals which would be the Packers or the Steelers And I'm betting he really isn't going to an NFC team if Jerry has his way which he does he has full control of all this and all the leverage starting next week,,

So, he's going to have to go to the AFC and Jerry will bury him on a bad team if he would even consider trading him which right now I'd say that's absolutely about 10% possible..

It would have to be to whatever team Jerry picks and it would have to be aw hole close to the Herschel Walker trade, there is no way he's just going to let him walk, and get his way...
right now, where they're at, Again Jerry knows he has most of the leverage, and if Parsons want to push this like Emmitt did and by the way he is not Emmitt they didn't just win championships because of Emmitt, they didn't become a second dynasty like Emmitt Smith provided for the Cowboys, he was the heart of the team, along with the offensive line, it wasn't Troy, the defense was really good, yes,
but this team went through Emmitt Smith and we all know that....

Want to make sure Parsons is clear that he's never even been the best player in the NFL, yet, He hasn't won Defensive Player of the Year ,he hasn't led the league in sacks, he is not even top 10 in the league as far as where he'd be ranked as a player in total..

People are saying he is and no I like parsons, I stick up for Parsons, he's a very good player, but he's not even the best defensive end or pass rusher in the league and which one of those even though he's older been in the league longer Hendrickson ended his holdout for $30 million, one year 30 million this man had 17.5 sacks last year...

Let's be clear,

parsons has not arrived ,he's a great player, but he is not the best of his own peers, and he's not in the top 10 in the NFL,

therefore wanting to be the top paid non quarterback IE top paid skill player and get all the years and have a bad agent that wants everything and creating a lot of this issues with Jerry because they don't get along because their egos butt-heads, and yes Jerry's equally responsible but I'm tired of hearing about how Parsons should just get everything he deserves well what is that exactly it's what jerry's willing to pay that's what.

He's already said he'd pay him, but there's obviously something else in the contracts; years; language and the fact that he doesn't want to sit down with this particular agent he doesn't like..

so something needs to happen, fire this agent, get a new agent or tell the agent to stop the nonsense and just go ahead and walk in and start practicing, and tell Jerry you're willing to play week one without a new deal ,but you'd like a new deal, and get back on good graces with a man who's going to be controlling your future...

Not saying it's right ,

this is A CBA thing,

but this is where we're at jerry owns him for about three years and yes Parsons can become a headache, he can miss games he can do what he's doing right now with all the antics, but I'm actually starting to not like this with the fake injury that he's trying to make real by getting another MRI you'll find a quack out there.. that'll tell you he sees back issues, and this is where I draw the line!!

you have a new deal whenever Jerry gives it to you and he will but right now something has to change and you have a current contract which you should start practicing and get ready for the season and I'm betting Jerry would love that loyalty wise and you would get your deal by just stepping back onto the practice field and suiting up Friday getting ready for the Eagles....

It already was taken care of by the Cowboys. He had the MRI, it came back clean, and the team cleared him. Objectively, there is no issue with his back. Micah is relying on subjective metrics to avoid playing. Try getting worker's comp with a subjective "I hurt my back on the job. Everything came back clean with the tests, but my back hurts. Can't work. Pay me anyway."

Micah is the one making it an issue by running off for a second opinion.

And let’s be real here: if his back were actually “injured,” he could sit out and still collect a paycheck. If it’s not injured, he has two choices—play and get paid, or sit out and forfeit game checks. He doesn’t want to play, plain and simple.

So what we’re seeing is this: Micah spent the entire offseason not making a fuss about his back. No urgency regarding getting it checked out. He practiced some, and then sat out all of training camp. Then suddenly points to a “back injury" when the contract isn't getting done. He finally gets an MRI, it’s clean, the doctors clear him, and instead of practicing, he refuses and seeks another opinion. Why? Because he doesn’t want to step on the field.

And here’s the kicker, this isn’t new. His agent pulled the exact same stunt with Jalen Ramsey to get him out of Jacksonville. Total coincidence, right? And let’s not forget Micah already bailed once before at Penn State to protect his draft stock and his pocketbook.

Looks less like a medical problem and more like a pattern.
You're not making a lick of sense or paying attention.

Yes, there was an MRI. Do you know what it means to get an MRI **sooner**? You say, "He (They would be the proper pronoun to use here...for the Cowboys) finally gets an MRI," which is my point exactly. ***FINALLY*** Why didn't they get it shortly after they knew about the issue? Why did they wait? Why are you not asking those questions?

Micah is the only one who knows what his back feels like. If the MRI didn't show anything (which is not definitive that there is no issue), and he does actually feel something wrong, it would make perfect sense for him to seek a second opinion. Millions of people do it for medical issues every year.

The back tightness was referenced when voluntary OTAs were around. It wasn't something that just popped up in the last week or so. Why did the Cowboys not do an MRI way back then...at the start of Summer? If the Cowboys believe it's a stunt (which is perfectly reasonable), why not get the MRI sooner? Why wait? That's something you'd want either way. Either you find an issue and you work to get it fixed, and have more information for any contract negotiations, or there's nothing and you have more leverage in contract negotiations.

Ask logical questions of both parties.

Jerry didn’t do those you named as dirty as he did Micah or Dez.

Did Jerry go on a media tour bashing Dak?

And Dak had the same agency as Micah
Prescott does not use the same agency not last I checked... Not gonna have this conversation we've been through it I told you how I feel and I'm just gonna end it right there this has never gone to this length with any of these guys no but I think it has more to do with the agent And right now it's been pushed too far and the agent is what's driving all this I don't believe Parsons would have done this without being told to..

I'll just say this, I saw the Baltimore Ravens pay one of the top Safeties in the league today early with no fuss. Successful teams do not conduct business like the Cowboys and the results show on the field. Jerry is doing all these theatrics for the drama, which, he believes makes him more money hence the most profitable football franchise. So, the next time you talk about Micah wanting money ask yourself why this team's owner does dumb crap football wise....for money only.

Parson is Ware as a pass rusher. But he's no Ken Norton at LBacker...
And Ken Norton was no Micah Parsons?

Not sure I understand your point unless it’s that some LBs are thumpers and some are pass rushers.

Yeah, but Parsons has joined Reggie White as the ONLY TWO PLAYERS in history to have atleast 12 sacks in their first four years.

So apparently, there are some DPOY winners who have never accomplished that.
Cherrypicking records don't move me. Parsons is the same player now as he was in 2021. Other guys evolve which is why they win dpoy. Micah will never win the award

There is no way that Mazi plays a lot.
