I get saying that Dallas is a mediocre team with no clear path to getting better and a salary structure that was going to lead to more talent leaving if Parsons got big money. Logically, trading Parsons is the right thing to do. The team will go from bad to worse but be able to clear its cap situation and hopefully be in a good position to jump up in 2 years. Dallas now has a future where I don't really think they did before.
That said, I don't understand those denigrating Parsons. He is one of the best defensive players in the NFL and made a huge impact. Even when he didn't get to the QB he shortened the amount of time they had to throw and tied up blockers to free up other people. The statistics are overwhelmingly in his favor. Dallas is noticeably worse without Micah.
