Oh I'm sure this will tick some people off.

#11 overall. Look, I get it, Jerry makes himself an easy target. Dude wants to win and (obviously) wants the credit in doing so. Look at the Netflix special. He obviously made the mistake letting Jimmy go, but Jimmy wasn't going to say around much longer anyway. And who knows, now that I've seen the Netflix special, just maybe Barry and his "hands off but love the player" approach was best for that 1995 veteran squad that ended up winning it all. Along with the signing of Deon, which was all Jerry no doubt. Dallas NEEDED Deon to get the ring in '95 -- wonder if Jimmy would have been on board with the signing?
Anyway, back to the topic -- Dallas is ranked just outside of the top 10 in terms of winning percentage (.536) during the regular season since 1995. I know, I know, what have you done for me during the post season? I get that. But as I've said many times, they were in GREAT position in 2007 and 2016 -- both #1 seeds in the NFC.
Bashing Jerrah is as American as apple pie and fireworks on the 4th of July. It's EASY to do. But unless you've got some context, it doesn't tell the whole story. Yes, I've been frustrated with Jerry. But it's not like this 30 year drought has come with season after season of just 4-8 wins as with many franchises (including Washington until recently). The bottom line is Jerry and those with a hand in the personnel put this club in position for a championship run more than once. Should Jerry get the blame for the 2007 playoff loss to the NYG, or does that fall on the defense? Does that fall on Patrick Crayton not running at full stride when Romo laid the ball out to him in the EZ late in that 4th quarter? Is it Jerry's fault that Romo couldn't hold the ball on a FG attempt in Seattle in '06, or Dez's "catch" was ruled not a catch? Is it Jerry's fault that the defense couldn't make a stop on Aaron Rodgers during the home divisional playoff game in 2016 (Jan 2017)?
You see where I'm getting at. No championship game since 1995 has just as much to do with "bad luck" or players not making plays than Jerry's so-called incompetence as an owner and GM.
Like I said, this will probably piss some of you off, but again it's not just black and white like everyone wants to make it out.
And yes, I think the Parsons trade ultimately will be a good one for the Cowboys. They got good return when you consider not many teams could be or would be willing to take on that contract.
