I am happy with the trade

That's the part which bothered me the most about him. Disappeared in big games.

The highest paid non-QB should be an impact player in big games.
Yes, at times it just got down right embarrassing to watch certain games where the team ran right at Parsons and he couldn't do anything about it but have a silly look on his face.

The same talking heads that would bash Micah in those games are the same ones who are talking the trade was bad and Micah is the best.

Honestly Jerry is the only one that recently pointed out that flaw out publicly about Micah when nobody else would.

I said in another thread I started.

I'm not happy with it.

But we have cap room and a ton of picks. You can rebuild this thing if you can get quality players in here.

Parsons is good, but honestly, we never went far with him even on his best day. Age 26 was the perfect time for the cowboys to trade him while his value was still at its high.

Id rather trade him at 26 and build for the future with the picks, than to one and done until he nears 30 or over and his value drops. I know alot of you fans like the star player affect with Parsons, but at the end of the day he was our ticket to anything close to a block buster trade.

Even if the picks are low, Dallas still has leverage to trade up or do just about what they want in the draft. Our future QB or RB could be awaiting us, we dont know. I dont look at the picks as picks that we surely will draft low. I believe Jerry and the team are eyeing a trade up plan.

Maybe it's Manning, maybe it's some other QB. I believe the move was made for long term goals.

Micah was good, but he had his fair share of disappearing acts during seasons and was just never great enough to move the needle. It makes absolutely zero sense to NOT to trade out of a situation like that. You can't continue to do that every single season and let the guys value waste away.

I am happy with the trade, and I am happy that we traded Micah at his highest value before it dropped. We dont need stars on defense, we need a whole team on defense.

Dallas will be A ok
You'd think he was good the way people felt like we couldn't win without him, good not great

As long as they draft Daks replacement, I agree.

I just don't think that's Jerrys plan.
Kinda feel like these picks are as good as gone without drafting a QB. Jerry paid the failure that is Dak. He's going to double down on him because he'd rather do that than admit any error. Heck... he's already saying it. Get ready for the disappointment because its coming.

It’s fine. There are pluses and minuses for both teams

It’s neither the great disaster for Dallas nor the Herschel Walker trade. Most trades are like that. Gotta give something up to get something; you gave up your present for your future

lol. Please if the cowboys re-signed him you would be signing his praises and talking about how good of a deal it was.
Not at 47m I wouldn't.

He is a great pass rusher who is limited by his lack of size and inability to play the run.

I don't even want TJ Watt at 47m.

Look at the Eagles defensive roster and tell me which edge rusher you would take over ours.

He's basically a pass-rushing specialist.
Good teams with a good running game will run at him and dare him to stop them.
THIS. All you have to do to neutralize them is run directly to his side of the defense. Guaranteed 5 yard gain every time. Micah's first large sponsorship should be for roller skates.

Im happy for both parties to have moved on.

The last couple of years leaves me skeptical about the team building given the current FO.

I see this packer picks in the back 1/3 of the draft. And this FO has been wish washy when put in that draft position.

The good thing is this franchise should be in the front 1/3 the next couple of the years.
