A new Jerry Jones

Some keep falling for the same old lies. The only reason Micah isn’t here is because it got personal between him and Jerry. Just wait until you see who we use those draft picks on before you say Jerry has changed. And Jerry's too old to change anyway.
Just pray the Packers don’t win the Super Bowl this season.

He did and I applaud Jerry Jones for pulling the trigger on this trade but he could have done this much earlier and his position of strength would have been much better with more trade options and better return capital. Just saying. Go Jerry!
That is why I think he figured it out, but it least he put himself in position to do so during FA and the draft.

Now that I have had a few days to decompress after the Parsons trade I had to stop and think how this would have gone down the last 20 plus years. Jerry always liked his stars and it didn't matter what they did or what kind of locker room guy you were as long as you produced on the field. Jerry always went after the high profile highly productive problem child guys like Charles Haley, Alonzo Spellman, Terrell Owens, Greg Hardy, and David Irvin just to name a few. Now I don't wanna say that Parsons was a problem child but he was a massive distraction when it came to his podcast, social media, contract talks, and being subpar in the run game. For many years, Jerry would have ignored all of that and would have signed him and not thought twice about it, however, it looks like Jerry has changed his ways and he is now more concerned about the culture of the Cowboys instead of one superstar player. So with that I give Jerry credit here, and this trade will improve the Cowboys not only with the addition of Clark stuffing the middle but building through the draft with those two first-round picks.
This post wins Cope of the Year.

I don't know if Jerry has radically changed.
What I do know is Jerry's an old school guy and when somebody agrees on something and give him a handshake he expects them to honor the commitment.

He gave Micah a completely legitimate offer and Micah behaved in a disrespectful manner all the way around from faking an injury sleeping on the table during the game and not wanting to honor the commitment he shook hands on.

Jerry is a billionaire and flat out does not have to take that crap from some 25-year-old punk kid who makes his bones in garbage time against bad teams and disappears when he's needed.

So yeah Micah got sent to the NFL's version of Siberia and can conduct his podcast and businessman like career up north and freeze his behind off good riddance
Siberia!!

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Banishment IS the Dallas Cowboys. No hardware or even a chance to sniff a Lombardi in three decades! Micah won the day getting the hell outta here lol

Respect your opinion but totally disagree. This was about Jerry overpaying on a previous contracts and trying to get Micah on the cheap. It was not about building a roster

This might be the biggest cope of the Parsons debacle.

A new Jerry... yeah, right.
It was smart and puts an end point to fully turn around with a talented teams on contract fully.

No, smart Jerry. It only cost him a single player.

Not on the cheap...two highest paid non-quarters left an option as to alternative. A certain Agent allowed a client to walk away from a supportive team and in position to get a really expensive diamond necklace. May be he can now afford an Aztec museum piece hidden from the Spaniards.

I think you are right, 2027 will be the year we look at a QB.

However, if we are really bad this year (or GB are really bad by some miracle), then a very high early pick (top 5) in 2026 could be used on a QB.
Texas looked bad against Ohio State yesterday.

No. 3 Ohio State stifles No. 1 Texas: Arch Manning falls flat as starter, Buckeyes defense shines in opener

I said this in another thread but this might be a signal of a philosophical shift in how they view the roster. They may be moving away from market resetting players to a more team oriented approach. Instead of having one massive superstar we have 4 or so above average players that play as a team.

This is what we did in the 90’s. Our ‘92 team led tye NFL in defense but no one made the pro bowl. And that was back when the pro bowl meant something.
With no doubt. Forged in fire and a team!

No, as your name implies. He simple returned to his wizardry.

I don’t think we can get out until after 2027, right? At that point we have like 50m in dead cap if he’s cut
