A new Jerry Jones

I don’t think we can get out until after 2027, right? At that point we have like 50m in dead cap if he’s cut
Doesn't mean the QB has to start year 1, he can sit and learn before taking over year 2.

I'd rather get the QB we want than factor in Daks money and wait a year to get a "lesser" QB in a weak draft.

No he did not.
Go root for GB
He thinks that Jerry stands behind Adam Clayton Powell, maybe. I like the Band Aide and feeding the starving, myself...and the Cowboys.

Turned the franchise around with a single trade...good job, Jerry and his team to pull this off.

Yeah, Jerry pushing 90, but he’s a changed man. Sure.
He already was a sharp as a tack observer. Too bad a lot of fans aren't also.

Changed a whole team's direction with trading a single player. 3 year window for a top of playoff direction,

The trade happened! Was ita new Jerry, was it need for a run stuffing DT, was it concerning future salary cap implications, was it whatever.

It still comes down to ego and power on both Jerry and Micah. Jerry believes he is the master of all and can negotiate how he wants, damn the rules. Micah's agent was a evil man to all teams because of the Watson contract. Micah's ego is about him being better than anyone else. The trade was destined to happen.

Who got the better of the trade, only time will tell. Micah may very well lead the NFL in sacks the next 10 years or not. Dallas may use those draft picks to land a franchise QB, ie Arch Manning anyone, with the ammunition to move up in the draft. (Please don't say that Dallas can't get him if they want, just look at the Eli Manning draft story). And maybe both Micah and Dallas will both make out this trade, only time will tell.

New Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Kenny Clark has not had the opportunity to take the field with his new teammates yet, but he's ready to make an impact as soon as he can.

The Cowboys return to practice on Sunday afternoon, so the former Green Bay Packers star will be looking to participate in the final preparations for the team's NFL opener against the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in a matter of days.

While Cowboys fans are eager to see what the three-time Pro Bowler brings to the table, Clark's former head coach is painting an impressive picture.

There is little doubt that Clark is an upgrade for Dallas at defensive tackle, but he will also bring a locker room presence that perfectly fits the team culture Brian Schottenheimer has been trying to build.

Just pray the Packers don’t win the Super Bowl this season.
Why?? We weren’t winning anything this year with Micah on the roster, so it’s a moot point. Strategy was trash, Jerry is an imbecile, but this was still the best move this team could’ve made.

For the first time in a long time, it feels like they finally accepted reality instead of deluding themselves into thinking this roster could realistically win a Super Bowl. Stockpiling assets now gives us a better shot at actually competing for a SB in the next 2–6 years.

Now that I have had a few days to decompress after the Parsons trade I had to stop and think how this would have gone down the last 20 plus years. Jerry always liked his stars and it didn't matter what they did or what kind of locker room guy you were as long as you produced on the field. Jerry always went after the high profile highly productive problem child guys like Charles Haley, Alonzo Spellman, Terrell Owens, Greg Hardy, and David Irvin just to name a few. Now I don't wanna say that Parsons was a problem child but he was a massive distraction when it came to his podcast, social media, contract talks, and being subpar in the run game. For many years, Jerry would have ignored all of that and would have signed him and not thought twice about it, however, it looks like Jerry has changed his ways and he is now more concerned about the culture of the Cowboys instead of one superstar player. So with that I give Jerry credit here, and this trade will improve the Cowboys not only with the addition of Clark stuffing the middle but building through the draft with those two first-round picks.
This is not a new Jerry. It is just Jerry at his worst. Jerry made this thing personal. Remember when he complained about Micah - and Diggs - getting hurt as if they planned it that way? When Jerry met with Micah to talk about leadership and then changed the subject to the contract extension he tried to trick his own player. When Micah told him his agent would call to get the contract started, Jerry refused to take the call. I am not sure how everyone else would react but if it was me there is no way I would let Jerry bamboozle me the way Jerry tried to with Micah. But Jerry was determined to do it the way he had done it with so many players before. Micah refused. He stood up to Jerry and there was no way Jerry could allow that in his world. That's why Micah was traded. All this talk about the podcast, being a locker room problem, not being a leader or a team player or being bad against the run is all Jerry's nonsense. Jerry is spreading this garbage to make it look like Micah was so bad he had no choice. Hogwash. He just traded for Pickens who was a notorious headache in Pittsburgh.

I have no idea how this trade will turn out. But all this talk about Micah being average, or a locker room problem, or bad against the run is all defensive garbage the Cowboys are using to deflect the criticism for making what many call a historical blunder.

Some say “a new Jerry Jones”?

This fart smell gives me the impression you had kimchi, oysters, and hard-boiled eggs for dinner.

None of those things were even the slightest distraction inside the lines. Those were all blown out of proportion by the media and certain fans. If Charles Haley taking his junk out in meetings didn’t affect game day, neither did Micah talking. First it was Romo playing golf and basketball, then Dak doing commercials and now it is Micah on a podcast. Certain fans will just zero in on a player they don’t like for whatever reason but it’s white noise. Football is about football. The other stuff is meaningless. GB is a well run organization and they don’t seem too worried about it.

Micah is gone for one reason and it’s not a new Jerry it’s proof of the same old Jerry. The Micah situation made Jerry look bad and brought criticism on him and Jerry hates anything that brings criticism on him from a being a “football guy” perspective. He also didn’t bow to King Jerry and that is why he is gone. Jerry says don’t get mad with your money over and over but that is EXACTLY what he did. You can argue it was the right move for the team in the long run if that is your opinion, but you can’t make up stories to justify the reason for it.

vinegar, coffee, and olive oil enrichment you need for senility...I didn't, better check behind your back.

I was in a jeep in Korea and a Korean Army truck topped over a hill in front of us and a case of Romyen fell out. We stopped and waited an extra minute and grabbed it putting it in our jeep. My company had romyen for a month. Of course with a raw egg and tobacco sauce sprinkled in. Don't just talk it.

Japanese have a sweet version of kimchi...you ready for Wednesday? If not, don't bring a pencil to a knife fight.

Don't go to Chicago right now and Bring on the damn Eagles!
