Yeah I think people are going to make a big deal because he got done before some of the other big names But how about this i'm curious to see I'm going to give it say the first 5 weeks Will BS be a more aggressive play caller and utilize more packages for player skill sets because I think Turpin and Hunter and even guys in the past like Deuce Vaughn did not get utilized to help create offense when there's nothing there you know the surprise A team that haven't seen you do something with them that you haven't done before..

I like Mike Mccarthy but he was kind of vanilla and straightforward until things got desperate You know it's 10 games in and the season is on the line and then all of a sudden he starts bringing in some things he hasn't brought in before but why don't you do that game one and beyond You don't have to be repetitive or redundant on those packages and groupings but you sure can surprise people on when you use them and get some chunk plays out of them get some sparks if the offense is stagnant instead of just keep doing the same old thing...

We'll find out Is Hunter better than advertised not just a blocker or full back but utilized as a hybrid H back tight end And sometimes surprise you as a running back.. Is he capable of doing short yardage I don't know because he fumble that one time and all of a sudden he's in a doghouse... We need a short yardage and yet they kept going to the old well when they brought back Ezekiel Elliott it probably wasn't necessary had they utilized Hunter the year before Moore we would have seen that he might have been able to handle that job...

Well, I'm not claiming that I know how the season's going to go ,but when someone replies first and says the consensus says we're going to have a worst year and outside of another historical injury riddled year I don't know how you can be worse Well if you get all your key players back healthy and your key additions I'm not saying we're going places but it's got to be 9 plus wins if you had 7 last year then I can see a two game improvement easily if not more given some luck and some health..

I mean the point in my post was simple Not compared to last year if you just look at most off seasons they look to sign one big name on their own roster that's up for a contract And then they think that will appease fans and they don't do a whole lot they're not as active in making trades and they did more in all aspects trades free agents and it just seems different this year I know compared to last year anything is better but I'm just looking at like the last five years it feels like they've done more trades free agents to fill real needs and signing their own players earlier ahead of time and then Jerry never does this and lets a superstar walk for the betterment of the team..

No, I'm not happy parsons is gone It's going to be tough to make up for his production/impact on others receiving all that attention, but it was for the betterment of the team..

The feeling it just seems different. Maybe there's people behind the scenes in his ear that he's listening to more, I don't know.

Jerry deserves most of the criticism he gets, don't get me wrong, but I'm impressed with this offseason and it's continuing all the way up to game one, moves are being made...

I think this is the kind of year that has somehow the running back position or another position on the team just is failing they might pull an Amari Cooper type trade before the deadline and bring in whatever they're missing because I believe they have the money and capital at hand, so I think they've already showed they're going to stay active...

feels like 2014..... This teams in a transition ie old meets new, small two-year window ,you know that's what happened with Romo seemed to be hitting his stride and then multiple injuries back (pun intended) just pushed us into the new 2016 DAK era...

I never said it's our year, that wasn't my point in my post i'm just saying the offseason feels different the energy is different the activities seems to be a little over and beyond than the norm... I'm not even claiming playoff success,

i'm just saying I think we're improved The people who were voting on the amount of wins it almost 60% was seven or less wins and I just found I needed to speak up and say that that's ridiculous and I believe it'll be better than that more like 9 to 11 wins...

Benefit of hindsight and all but we were still needing LBs and DTs last year. Martin was done, Steele wasn't playing well and Guyton was even more raw. Then we trotted out Zeke like he had anything left. Dak goes down and the whole thing goes to crap. On defense we went from Quinn to Zimmer.

This year ill take Javonte over Zeke, and hopefully Blue can deliver. I know Rico stepped up, but we had that stupid rotation for far too long.

Im also hoping this staff is much better than what we had before. A healthy Dak and a better oline, with some of our additions should make this a better team.

The league is sleeping on our potential, but I cant say anyone is wrong either because the wheels could come off. They've shown us nothing and traded away their best player. Still, recency bias is always over the top in the NFL.
 
It all comes down to dak and the offense. The pickens trade makes this offense much more dangerous. But it's probably only for one year because he's going to want a huge payday if he plays like we all hope.

The defense can't be any worse. People are up in arms over letting Parsons go but this defense was terrible with him. How can you justify making him the highest paid non QB ever if the defense is still in the bottom 5 when he's on the field? It's pointless to pay him when the rest of the defense is so bad that he can't really make an impact on the outcome of the game. I was all for trading him.

We are definitely better at lb and corner, with the secondary finally being healthy. This team could make some noise if the offensive line plays well.

I have a hard time believing this team can be worse than last years.

While every team has some kind of weakness not everyone is loaded from top to bottom Even the Eagles I believe they're a little shaky at corner and they should have let go of Gardner because that trade didn't workout too well they're missing Kellen Moore we don't know how this is all going to work out I think their tackle is recovering from an injury..

I know they're the Super Bowl champions but I think people lose sight of the fact that a new season is truly a new season they can behave the Super Bowl hangover definitely be not at full strength game one which could be to our advantage..

Apparently you don't read. because I listed all the moves that started in April before all the Parsons mess,

this had nothing to do with taking the attention away from what the season can or can't be, there's a lot of more moves than I even listed it's been nonstop since the league year started, it was slow to start but they went and picked up Milton and Pickens long before all this so no Hunter is just happened to be on their short list, like Ferguson was unexpected, It's not going to impact this year at all, they were already going to be here.. Mean most fans are not casuals who understand that that made no difference except for it shows they are trying to get ahead of some of these contracts...

so I don't get it like why you would even say that most of these players that were just extended we're going to play this year regardless of a new deal or not, parsons was the only sudden change that caught us off guard, but even that got us a starting nose tackle.
 
It feels different, Weird twist and turns in the off season but I believe we are going in the right direction.

From a X and O stand point we should be a lot better.

Coaching should be better.

Locker room should be better.

Dept should be better.

We will find out tomorrow.

All they did was sign their usual JAGs earlier than normal to shut the fans up.

Nothing has changed.

Only needle mover they brought in is Pickens. Murray Jr, Elam, Sanborn, Williams, Sanders, have all been colossal failures up to this point.

Imagine believing that after he said he wants to be a run first defense and the FO gave him Williams and Sanders waiting until the last 3 rounds to draft RBs.

Excellent post. I was saying the Houston signing was underrated when we got him. He's even smaller than Parsons though and has some of the same issues with the run. He's not as fast as Parsons, but he's a lot like him.
