Jerry is still trying to rationalize the Micah trade

No I deal in the truth. You deal with it. I rooted for the Cowboys when they played the Eagles and I'll root for them against the Giants but I'm not going to lie to myself about how good the Cowboys are. They have a ceiling and we've seen it the last 30 years.
So if you’ve given up, why are you here? They have no chance right? I mean that’s exactly what you said.

Man, we're all trying to reconcile it.

Made me sick watching him in GB.

Also, he looked bigger, like maybe hes put on some weight.
He’s gone. I don’t get all the poor me about Micah. It’s in the past. Time to move on.

Its not hard to get. He was a really good player and most of the fanbase was hoping to see him accomplish great things as a Dallas Cowboy.

Im not certain we aren't better off this way though. I just feel like with the right coaching and team we could've taken better advantage of his talent.

Im upset to lose him, but happy for the draft picks, and cap savings. Happy that maybe we end up playing better, assignment sound, team oriented defense.

Go ahead. That will only prove how ignorant you are. But ignorant people shouldn't be going around calling other people dumb. :)
Alright you obviously want some attention little boy ....... jump back on Jerry's lap before I give it to you.

I get it, he’s one of the best defensive players the Cowboys have ever had probably. And the team is worse off on paper. But I’m here to tell you, and have seen this play out many times before, you get rid of one problem person, the overall team CAN end up being better. It all depends on the culture involved. I trust in Shotty that he will do what’s needed to that end.

My issue is they lack direction again. They aren't contenders, but the Jones boys think they can be. Getting two potential late firsts and a 30 year old DT doesnt jive. Clark did look good in game one and maybe he has a strong season. In all liklihood he is here for a year or two and then will be gone. It appears needing a DT in the trade back limited their options and now have two potentially lukewarm first round picks. The DT issue should have been a main focus the second the season ended. Not trying to solve by trading your best player.
Its funny that run defense (like safety) never seemed to matter until it came at the expense of a generational pass rusher.

And ppl seem to forget he did offer him a large contract....and that he could have offered him one a year ago for what like 10 million less?

My bad. I had no idea you are an immature kid with mental problems. It's not fair on my part to pick on someone like that. Carry on...

I’m not sure where we are getting all of this trust on culture with Shotty on. We’ve had one regular season game so far. Not much history to buy into yet.

And Parsons wasn’t a problem until we failed on his contract negotiations.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan on the Micah Parsons trade: “We’re going to be getting players in the top 30 (draft picks). We’ve got two years of getting Green Bay’s top 30 player. And that should do some damage for us. And then we add that to the picks we’re going to have anyway, and that should do some damage."

“Now, by the way, in between that time, there are 30 other teams other than the Cowboys playing without Micah, this week. There’s ways to play defense and scheme that don’t necessarily involve any player, whether it be Dion Sanders, looking way back, or who it is, a lot of people won a lot of games and didn’t have Dion Sanders on the field for them. How’d that happen?"

“That’s called, you got to have about, minimum, 40-something players to play this game. Between being available with a nick or an injury, plus at the same time, just availability from the numbers of snaps in a game. You can’t go out there and rush the passer for 60 plays a game at all.

“My point is, all of this weighs into the consideration, and it was so much thought out over the last months that we needed an opportunity to see if our trade was there.”

There are 30 teams not having to play against Micah this weekend. I’ll bet all 30 are grateful for that.

I'm ready to move on. Parson's is gone. Next time I will think about him will be when we play the Packers. Not before and not after unless we meet them in the playoffs. This is like folks doing forum post on a cut player from the Cowboy's joining the Practice Squad of another team. Who cares.
He’s not gone from Jerry’s thoughts. Epitaph for Jerry’s gravestone “I should have paid Micah”.

“We traded a HOF player and got two Top 30 draft picks we hope can be as good as Micah.” — Jerruh
Yup.

It’s amazing watching/listening to the #Copium

The Packers fleeced the team.

Fleeced: slang, to be "fleeced" means to be cheated, scammed, or robbed of money or other valuable possessions through trickery or deceit.

Jerry is the Cowboys “problem person”. Schotty can’t do anything about it.

Still have zero issues with this trade, weren't going to win with him, need more players.
Maybe ........ but we have paid a player more than we were gonna pay Parsons ........ and Parsons is much better at his Job than that player.

LOL, you have no clue how chemistry on a football team is built. It started when Schotty was hired and he’s been doing it ever since. The Philthy game was a view into how that culture is playing out so far. It didn’t start in the game.
