When Russ Wilson lights you up, you sign someone, anyone. Lol

A pyrrhic victory today damages long-term in this case by making ownership feel they do not need to do anything to fix this mess. It also hurts our draft pick for next season.

Maybe understand that this can hurt exactly the way you said. You saw how bad this team looks (against a bad team). A loss would have put Jerry under the gun starting this week. Now he has an out. He will use it all week. That is tantamount to a defeat based on what this team truly needs (which is hit rock bottom and force some sort of change). And that damages true long-term progress into a fully functioning NFL team (front office to the field).

I completely understand the term thank you.
Just win enough to keep the heat off the GM.
That way we can just keep repeating the rinse and repeat.
Jerry cant GM forever can he?
A I Jerry?

30+ years without even a Championship game and this is what you come up with? With that defense showing today? We only won because Wilson was our best defender in OT (and the Giants are a bad team).

I now expect the "its not easy to win in the NFL" excuse.

I applaud your positivity most of the time, but come on man.
Spoiled fans, is being nice...,,you're a long time fan....do you appreciate some fans, constantly crapping on your team? Come on man.

Let me ask you, is “lol” an autocorrect for something else you type or do you really think everything you say is that funny?

Abdul Carter is an unproven rookie and has been playing mostly edge and so far he hasn’t proven himself against anyone, let alone the run. Remind you of someone?

Gholston is an upgrade? The same guy we let walk because he was so good against the run when we were right there with the Giants for having one of the worst run defenses in the league last year?

Dexter has been invisible for them this year and in case you didn’t know, he’s double teamed most of the time and even when he was healthy they still sucked against the run. It takes more than one great player to stop the run, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and pretend you didn’t know that.

Any other awesome insight? LOL!
Lol = laugh out loud

It means you said something funny.
You made a funny.

Because I’ll tell you right now if much rather have Burns, Thibodeaux, Lawrence and Carter then what we have.

Ownership already feels like it has to do nothing to improve this team. It crows about what it has done and it's strategy and has done that for 30 years now.

I'm game to game now. Just going to enjoy the little things because at least as long as Jerry's alive and possibly as long as a Jones owns this team, my expectations are low.

It's taken me a long time to get to this point, though, so I can understand those who still hope this mess can get fixed. My mind-set has become that it's just not worth the energy to look at the big picture. I'm week to week now. Going to enjoy winning and then have no expectations for it to happen again next week. If we win, I'll enjoy that, too. That's a long way from where I used to be as a fan.
