Nah, Cincy needs a major talent infusion, losing out this year could give them some nice high draft picks to work w/. The opposite, they should consider trading off some talent that is coming up to contract time.

I mean I can see trading Hendrickson but I don’t think they are in position to talk future with all the injuries Burrow keeps gettting. They are 2-2 they need to stay afloat until Burrow gets back. Plus they need to keep Chase and Higgins happy and right now at least Chase isn’t. They suffer when Burrow is out.

Good points. However, I think the Giants and Bears are going to turn out to be pretty decent teams this year. Plus, I don't think KC's offense is all that this year.

They got Mahomes and Kelce so they will always be a serious threat to turn D's like ours into revolving doors

So, injuries are a valid excuse for other teams but never a valid excuse for the Cowboys. Is that how this works? The Cowboys had 3 starters out on offense (2 1st round picks and a 3rd round pick). There are no built-in excuses for the Cowboys GM or coaches.

Seems like many here (not necessarily you) blame Cowboy injuries on the GM first, coaches second, and then a little on the trainer. Remember it was the GM who hired the coaches and trainer so blame goes back to the GM. Obviously the GM did not properly anticipate and did not draft the right positions and players.

A real GM would have depth at 2 to 3 levels at every position. A real GM would be wheeling and dealing draft picks and players to fill gaps. Right?

Are you still sticking with injuries as an excuse as to why the ravens defense stinks so far?

I think the Ravens D was over rated even before the Injuries

I pointed out in another thread that the Packers, who were struggling running the football, averaged 4.7 yards per rush against Dallas. This does not sound like the run defense was fixed. However, it is one game and I believe most of that yardage was gained late in the game when the defense was tired. It is not excuse but still not time to hit the panic button. The 10 of 14 success rate on 3rd down is a bigger concern. Too many wide open receiver open past the line to gain. It was too easy for Love.

No magic wand will help. If players aren't willing and able or locked in, you have no chance. Regardless of talent.

Not sure what's the details on Hooker, but just got to hope with the 2 boundary guys back and slowly getting healthier we can have more consistency/confidence as the weeks go on.
Just not sure we'll ever have a consistent pass rush to force more ill advised passes.

And without tha vital pass rush our already weak secondary is getting badly abused.

Rubbish.
It is not as if these players can play only under one scheme.
Most have played 4-5 schemes since high school up until the pros.
Athletes are supposed to adapt, and those who cannot are usually waived.
