Yeah I have to put 75% of it on the play calling DAk ran the play that was called.Defense was extremely poor once again. But the Panthers gave up plays as well.
I am not blaming Dak outright.
But this is where QB’s should step up. And make those plays. Now they can’t do it all the time. But Dak and the play calling was not good on that series.
Then Young and his coaching and play calls stepped upped when needed.
I do blame the play calling more than the players. But Dak should have stepped up, seen the defense and that the play was in trouble.
And yes if somebody broke a tackle and ran for 30 yards we would all be happy.
But at some point I would hope that Dak could see these plays were being sniffed out and audible to something down the field.
This is usually where a veteran quarterbacks knowledge and experience comes into play and he makes a play somewhere down the field.
I would have expected after trying this twice he would have thrown down field to Pickens and at least hope for pass interference.
