We'll tag him. I believe the tag for receivers will be around $24-$26 million while his agent will be looking for around $30 million APY. The only advantage to signing him long term is that you can keep the hits relatively low for the first couple of years.

This!!!!! but as mentioned in another thread........why can't we pay him long-term? We have the cap space and just signed Tyler and Bland. No other huge contracts are up until Dak in 2027. We are uniquely set up to pay him and not miss a beat. We all know the high draft picks will be defense.

Why wouldn't he want to stay? He will be on all the sports shows. He will be well-paid, and when he starts feeling fat and satisfied, he can slow down. For instance, a month after he receives his payment, he can take a break and not worry about anything.

I worry about tension between him and Cedee. Who is #1. Will he want more money than Cedee? Will that cause drama? If it was me if we keep losing and Flounrney keeps getting better and a team like Buff offered me a 1 3 and a future 4 I would take it. You could draft another WR and still keep your cap low Just a thought
