Unfortunately, I’m thinking they may want higher than a 4thIf Tvondre Sweat is really available, Id rather drop that 4th on him

This is a good move.I like this move. I think it helps us in the future. Looks like we are only giving up a 7th round pick and he is signed for 2 years after this year. He has 2 years at $13 million total left on his contract so he will basically cost $6.5 million a year. Does this really help this year? No, because we still have too many holes and we have lost too many games. This is a start to filling holes next year. It’s not like we were going to hit with a 7th round pick.

Id give more. Maybe a pick swap equivalent to a 3rd. Young, productive fits what we need and how we align our DT's. We dont play an A gap. Sweat would seem a perfect A gap player, but he plays a vast majority of his snaps in a B gap. So he fits what we need from that LDT spotUnfortunately, I’m thinking they may want higher than a 4th
If we got rid of Mazi it's a great trade!!!A 4th round rookie took his spot. If we gave up anything more than a 6th and Mazi this is outright ridiculous
Yes, he is more of a true will linebacker and a real poor fit as a mike. With Overshown being brought back slowly, don't think Wilson being here will affect James development.James is going to be moved over. He's not a true MLB. They knew it. Now he will be better next to Wilson.
These are the type of trades we should be doing, low cost, high reward type of trades. Wilson is a legitimate Mike LB something they don't currently have with Murray playing the will.Well at least we didn't overpay.
No more trades on the buying side please.

James is a will linebacker, Wilson is a true Mike backer. You would think James/Overshown will be handling that spot now and take Murray off the field. Wilson is a green dot player.James is a 5th round pick that is 21 years old. I would rather see him continue to develop then trade draft capital for Wilson. In two seasons James will be better then Wilson.
Demetrius Knight, a guy I was hoping the Cowboys would draft. He lost a step and younger guy was outplaying him from what I read
Can he clog a Tractor Trailor hole? Can he tackle? The current LB group cant
Maybe we can get that 7th back for Mazi. Please don't trade our high picks. Trade mazi for a pick. Or a project player
He should fit right in. The rest of this defense can't start on other NFL teams.he was benched so we don’t know
Low cost in draft capital, but if he can't play he does make pretty good money. Murray money. Need to be right on these type of decisions. You know the Cowboys are going to cry poor this offseason too.For a 7th rounder, this is a very good low cost gamble. There is a chance he becomes our future starter at the position. If it doesn't work out, costs the team very little. Really like the deal. These are the types they need to do more of!
The best way to help out the 31st ranked defense? Lets go get a rotational player from the 32nd ranked defense. Nice
