2 Cowboys who should see more snaps after the bye week

These guys all need to see the field more, obviously the guys coming back from injury might need to be eased in, but we know what Tolbert, Steele and Turpin give the team, it is time to see what Flournoy, Thomas, and Mingo can do with more opportunities.

The bye week is coming to an end, and that means the second half of the Dallas Cowboys season will begin. It is not going the way that we all had hoped, but the moves they made on defense at the trade deadline should at least set them up well for next year.

I am not moving on from this year yet, but with everything this team is going through and with the worst defense in football, it makes it tough after losing to the Arizona Cardinals at home.

With that said, I think this team still has a few guys that should earn more snaps coming out of the bye week and see if they can build on them heading into 2026 or even lean on them for the rest of the season.

Flournoy looks like he has enough potential to let #3 go. Pickens is really good, but I don't trust his brain.
 
They should go on a complete youth movement.

Williams is going to get his money, why continue to play him if he isn't going to be here next season? Same with Pickens.

Play Blue and Flournoy.

Take out Steele and put in Thomas.

Replace Murray with James.

Anyone we know isn't going to be here next season doesn't need to play.

Hopefully he gets lots of reps at RT over the next two weeks of practice

Believe Ez is now the starter and getting the lion's share of snaps. Time to phase out Tolbert as he isn't expected to return next season.

EZE already plays the most snaps of the DEs.

In the AZ game he played 76%. The next most was Clowney at 57%.

Flournoy played 67% as the 3rd WR in the AZ game.

Turpin at 19% and Tolbert at 10%.
 
Flo is ok, but still a #3 WR.. product of having defenses needing to deal with CD and Pickens . So he gets the worst of the defenders and single coverage. Don’t get me wrong, I know he has shown very good hands and getting open. But don’t expect to put him higher than he is now. And Jerry, PLEASE don’t extend him already.

Really what is the obsession with Mingo he is a 4th round mistake that we don't have room for You just mentioned it there are not enough targets to go around they need to actually shorten the wide receiver in tight end depth and start using a lot of guys less not other guys more..
so that would mean you have lamb and pickens and flournoy. Then you have to go to your tight ends and then your running backs Mingo may get his shot down the stretch when we are completely mathematically eliminated the last two games and he's gonna get the ball being thrown to him from our backup quarterback again..

Will he ever receive a pass from Prescott I don't know but up to this point he's got zero passes from Prescott and we have to admit he was a mistake but who knows I haven't seen a single thing for him that makes me think he's going to be a good player in this league...

We got enough problems with our own players fumbling and not being able to block or they drop passes and what not so like I said we need to clean up and tighten up this roster more than we need to expand it...

I did notice that but I don't think the 67% were all on offense Didn't he play special teams as well or I should say maybe he was on the offense but how many targets did he actually get he's more like a decoy more? So I hope they get him the ball more or at least try you can't keep forcing it to Lamb and Pickens if they're covered that's a mistake If they helping other guys be wide open you definitely need to go to your other options and stop worrying about the egos of your two receivers here are now battling each other for targets and you can see that Prescott is starting to feel the pressure trying to get them both the ball...

67% of offense snaps in the AZ game plus 61% of special teams snaps.

That's what everybody keeps saying, but he only played 8 games at RT in college. Of course he might be better than Steele, but he's played a heck of a lot more reps at LT.

Why does it take the fans 3 or 4 games to see what it takes our “coaches” 8 games to figure out??

No way should Steele have gotten a new deal when he did. We have the dumbest ****** owner in the NFL.
