Yea, there’s been plenty to bash Dak over the years and I’m sure there will be more . But anyone who doesn’t see he can be enough to win with has some serious agendas.

I’m not saying he’s Elite while he does look like it at times but we aren’t as good of offense without him.

And sure there’s a few QB’s we’d rather have but with this version of Dak we could be a tough out as long as this defense can make critical stops.

We have some huge games coming up against KC and Detroit. We’ll see how those go but I have a new found confidence we wouldn't have much chance without him.

I like how i you don't worship and say Dak is the greatest QB of all time you are considered a troll. It is almost like when he blows it in the playoffs every year half of you disappear until September...

Anyway.. Dak is playing well enough to win deeply this season, but he has a team around him finally, which is great. The question becomes, can he do it in January with this team around him?

Jerry's given dak some great offensive weapons over the years. 1st rounders all over the place.

But he's forgotten or ignored or got too stubborn about the defense. We could be witnessing a change we all knew was needed...and a couple more to go.

He’s the Dak over Dallas fan that tries to convince everyone he’s not.

Every now and then he tells on himself though.

Dak may not have to play "superman" to win deeply. But I for one am going to ask him to. A top 5 QB...does.

Yes ....... he gets talented players ........ but does not know how to assemble a balanced team ........ and he is surrounded by yes men ......... which is a bad combo.

The reality is the defense made countless stops to give the offense drive after drive after drive and the Special Teams showed up in a big way both forcing turnovers.

He threw a bone headed pick in the redzone leaving 7 points on the field and had the Eagles linebacker been able to catch a ball thrown straight at him then it would have been the same old Dak Prescott story but lady luck shone on him yesterday.

I give him credit for being able to brush off an awful throw and crack on as though it never happened. He has an excellent temperament which is his best quality as a quarterback.

The main take going forwards is can the defense continue to give Dak and the offense countless drives to win games.

It also helps him being able to just chuck the ball in the air knowing Pickens will basically catch anything and everything :lmao:

He needs to Superman once or twice in the playoffs. He was Superman against Green Bay, and was Superman yesterday. The other times we can grind out a win with defense. (the defense we're looking to build next year)

But yes, he is Top 5.... you're right about that.

Dak has a team around him ‘finally’? Really?

Dak has had better teams around him than this years’s model. The Cowboys JUST won consecutive games for THE FIRST TIME THIS SEASON - and we’re already ELEVEN GAMES IN.

Well the fact that he's never even come close is a pretty strong argument that he doesn't have the "ability". For me, yesterdays game didn't really move the needle.

If you believe in him, that is great though.
 
Well despite the stats about his career 4th quarter come backs, most of those simply mean the team was down 31-27 when the 4th quarter began and they end up winning 34-31.
Dak has not been great at true, real, dramatic comebacks. But he sure did Sunday. Props to him. To win in the playoffs you have to beat good teams, being behind, on the road. I would cheer if he did.

So which two quarterbacks is he better out of Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, Burrow, Hurts and Stafford?

Before you say Hurts consider that he's a Superbowl MVP and he played lights out in another. Before you state Stafford he has a ring and will be MVP this season. Before you state Mahomes he's a multiple Superbowl and MVP winner and before you state Jackson or Allen consider they are both MVPs.

Burrow has somehow played in a Superbowl with wallpaper protecting him and a bad defense.

I'm all ears...
 
I want Dak to win as the QB of the Cowboys as bad as anyone, but we've seen him play well and have a perfect QBR. It's consistency that matters. He finally had a great comeback against a good team. If he can get this team into the playoffs then I will have some optimism. But until then, though I am thoroughly enjoying this win, I will be bracing for the inevitable "Cowboys pulling a Cowboys" and getting blown out. I hope it doesn't happen, I hope they go on a run, but they needed to win against Carolina and Arizona to make this more feasible this year.

He's better than Burrow, Lamar, and Hurts.

Not better than Mahomes and Stafford.

Allen? Well...... look no further than the Texans or Dolphins game lol. And look no further than coming up short against Mahomes every single time. So I'd say Allen and Dak aren't separated by much optically speaking.
 
Yes, Dak is a good quarterback. But for the Cowboys, regular season good isn't enough.
It's in the post-seasons when Cowboys legends are made, and by that standard, he has been anything but legendary.
I've held back from heaping too much praise or too much criticism on Dak because regular season isn't where Dak should be judged (or any Dallas QB for that matter).
It's all about the playoffs, and it doesn't look like we're going to make it there this year either.
So, this topic will be open debate for next year too.
