He also threw an odd pick that was called back for a defensive penalty.

It's typical Dak. Some superb throws and then some head scratchers. Pendulum swing is still wide. Just cut back on that bad swing a little bit.

Yes I know...every QB does it. Except no...not everyone as often. And even so...don't care.

I can't disagree. He certainly doesn't step up in those moments. It seems like when things are going bad, he kind of panics and is super cautious. Or plays like he doesn't want to make a mistake. But recently I think I've seen a change in him. Hopefully he keeps it up.

I try to get the defense some credit for playing their best game of the season and a CZ member accuses me of salivating over Hurts. I didn't say a damn thing about Hurts or any other Iggs player.
 
Right now, Dak's playing up to his contract, so I've got no complaints with it.

And I think we absolutely can win with him. Name five better QBs playing this weekend.

I thought I had seen changes in him too. But as a test, I girded myself for a huge choke job before the GB playoff game"and...whaddya know...he didn't disappoint...".

At this point the shocker is if Dak looks poised and accurate in a big game. That should speak volumes about the general expectations we have of him in a big game.

It's not just big games. The game against Arizona earlier that year was the same. We get down a few scores and he starts to play too cautious, and gets like a tunnel vision. The Packers and Cardinals did not have a great defense, but it looked like a struggle just to get a first down.

Me personally, I don't think we win that GB game if Kurt Warner was our QB. My main point is how our QB reacts under certain circumstances. I think he's been looking better this year.

Just wanted to give kudos to.the O.P. for having the sense of humor/balls/**** stirring skill to start it.

Im sure the usual suspects flocked to it and had their say.

Yea, there’s been plenty to bash Dak over the years and I’m sure there will be more . But anyone who doesn’t see he can be enough to win with has some serious agendas.

I’m not saying he’s Elite while he does look like it at times but we aren’t as good of offense without him.

And sure there’s a few QB’s we’d rather have but with this version of Dak we could be a tough out as long as this defense can make critical stops.

We have some huge games coming up against KC and Detroit. We’ll see how those go but I have a new found confidence we wouldn't have much chance without him.

Dak had a nice game against the Eagles but his troubles are playoff games and .500 teams outside the division. Dak is serviceable as a NFL starter but he isn’t good enough to win a SB no matter what team he is on.

At this point, if we want to open up a window the next two years, Dak's contract must be pushed down the road. Push it down 4-5 yrs from now, because at that point it will be time to rebuild anyway.

yeah if the pieces Jerry has bought to improve us this year can stay around, I agree that now is the time to push the cap forward to keep them all and make a run.

Will Jerry do that? man that's the million dollar question.

That’s all speculative at this point. Thus far he hasn’t been enough in the playoffs for a deeper run but arguably neither has the team.

Until we reach that next level there’s no way to be absolutely certain he’s enough.

For now we know as of Sunday he’s enough to beat one of the better teams in regular season.

And that’s all we are saying at this time. The rest is merely talking points .

Yea but his contract is on Jethro who believes and has tried to sell Dak as elite. Most fans realize he isn’t but also see him as serviceable enough to stay competitive for the playoffs.

Unfortunately paying Franchise QB’s ( which doesn’t mean Elite) market value or price is part of the beast in Cap era. And why QB’s contracts don’t necessarily represent a pecking order but usually more about when they were paid.

More like Dak should have no pressure. You literally need to construct a team where the game does not hinge on the QB making a play. That's the only way you win with a guy like Dak.

You are correct but a lot of folks here will credit the defense.. the special teams.. the team doctor the head trainer... the cheerleaders before they credit Dak. It is what it is.

It's true that any team run by Jerry will need Patrick Mahommes-level of QB play to sniff a conference title game.
