It needs to be said: Dak is enough to win with

I’m not really pro Dak or anti Dak. I’m just a Cowboys fan who tries to remain objective. When Dak is playing pretty well, he is a pretty legit QB.

When Dak pulls his feet in the headlights routine, he sucks pretty badly. We got deer in the headlights Dak for a bit over a quarter and were down 21 to 0 at one point. That wasn’t ALL on Dak but a huge part of it was.

Dak also pissed off a few possessions after we went down 21 to 0 but the defense bailed him out. Then we got good Dak enough to come back and win it.

For us to win a SB with Dak, in my opinion two things need to happen:

1. Dak needs to be a good enough bus driver to not turn the ball over stupidly as he is sometimes prone to do. We need more risk averse Dak like when he was a rookie. He took care of the ball.

2. We need zero deer in the headlights Dak.

The old saying “It only takes one oh **** to wipe out a whole bunch of atta boys could not be a more accurate statement.

C'mon Whirlwin......there are many out there leading us to believe they view Dak playing KC by himself.

Me personally, I don't think we win that GB game if Kurt Warner was our QB. My main point is how our QB reacts under certain circumstances. I think he's been looking better this year.

Agree...it's how he responds to considerable pressure...he cracks. And he doesn't just crack on the play or the one drive...he's shot for the entire game.

Ya never know tho. Dak doesn't throw the pick 6, we have a shot. But when the D is struggling and the offense is giving away points...

Nah, that's only when Dak has a bad game. Otherwise, the success is all his...all praise due to Dak....
 
Dak is a top 3 QB this year. You could argue 1,2 or 3.

Yeah it's a good thing Philly is not a good defense and that game Sunday was not a "big" game cause as you have stated many times Dak fails against good teams and in big games.. right?

Philly is both a good D and a good team.

But...they are also a division foe. If Dak's win vs Philly "proves something", why can't he do it again? He should have no problem playing this way 14 out of 17 Sundays, right?

Always gotta shift the goal post eh? Was Green Bay a division foe? He had arguably a better game against them.. and their defense is even higher rated.

Playing what way? 350 yards and 3 TDs 14 out of 17 Sundays? Seriously? So 5000 yards and 50 TDs in 14 games? If he does something that has never been done then all is forgiven? That's your take?

Was GB a win? No...so...again...not the best example to use. Although it might have been Dak's best game of the year...still not good enough.

No...I said "that way". Meaning POISED, CONFIDENT AND CLEAR-EYED.

Yea, there’s been plenty to bash Dak over the years and I’m sure there will be more . But anyone who doesn’t see he can be enough to win with has some serious agendas.

I’m not saying he’s Elite while he does look like it at times but we aren’t as good of offense without him.

And sure there’s a few QB’s we’d rather have but with this version of Dak we could be a tough out as long as this defense can make critical stops.

We have some huge games coming up against KC and Detroit. We’ll see how those go but I have a new found confidence we wouldn't have much chance without him.

Also still not his fault. Your premise was the he chokes and doesn't play well against good defenses and in big games. Not "the Cowboys never win" against good teams or big games. Either way both have been proven patently false time and again.

As for the last sentence. That's a fair assessment.. However it's hard to understand the context when discussing a QB who has 23 TD passes to 7 INTs, is completing almost 70% of his passes and has passer ratings above 100 in 7 of his 11 starts and an 8th game (against the Giants that was 96.7). He has 6 games with zero turnovers and 3 others with just 1. The two games with more than one turnover were the Denver game where at least one was off a receiver's hands and the Chicago game where Pickens volleyballed an INT to the Bears when the Cowboys were moving to score and perhaps cut it to a one score game.

Dak also had nothing to do with Williams and Ferguson fumbling away scoring opportunities against the Cards. But people will cite that as a poor game for him. His INT in that game was 4th down heave at the end with the game out of reach thanks to the defense getting shredded by Jacoby Brissette and the aforementioned fumbles. Dak played fine in that game.. his teammates didn't. Especially the offensive line.. Not that Dak has played lights out every game.. but he has been very good way more than he has been bad. And that's really all we can ask for.

People will question Dak and be skeptical until he wins in the playoffs. It’s simple
