We were at a severe competitive disadvantage with a horrendous offseason that did precious little adding quality defensive talent.
 
Disappointed, but not surprised.
This front office still has work to do, both on D and on the O line.
Could be a blessing in disguise.
I was worried Jerry was going to feel this team was ready to compete as is, and I still feel it needs a fair amount of work.
I just hope Jerry sees that.

Pickens didn’t impress me at all tonight. I agree we should sign him, but he disappeared when we needed him the most

We need 4 quality starters on D. We need 2 LBs that can run and tackle, at least one plus starting safety, and a DE that can play with a motor and finish

Above all, we need a new scheme! Way too passive and soft. We need a tough guy DC to balance out Schotty.

Hope we revamp the D and add some quality vet FAs in addition to quality draft picks.
 
The Chiefs are a .500 team with quite a few of those wins coming against losing teams but this fan base celebrated the win like it was the Super Bowl Chiefs. Delusional.

I’ve had several positive threads in recent weeks. I call it like I see it.
 
if the 49ers lose out to finish 9-8 and the Packers lose out to finish 8-8-1 and we win out to finish 10-6-1 we get in

The Cowboys have a massive cap problem next year. It will be hard to sign those players. The Cowboys are probably going to lose some good players next year.

I think it would be more likely that Dallas gets in by winning the division. Philly has a tough road game cross country Monday night. If they lose Dallas is 1.5 games back with 4 left.
If Philly wins Monday night it’s pretty much a wrap.

No fan should want this team to go to the playoffs. For what? To be totally humiliated? It is probably better it ended tonight. Time to start draft talk.
