Having said that, watching the replay multiple times since.... Ferguson should've caught that pass. I believe he would've if not for the defender grabbing him.

It’s not bias. It’s not favoring one team over another. It’s the fact we don’t have 16 crews who know the definition of pass interference. What is “materially hindering your opponent’s opportunity to catch the ball”?
10 crews would call this DPI. 5 crews would call nothing. And 1 crew would call it OPI.

The majority of his comments (and there are tons of examples) have not called officiating into question. He will be fined a penance IF the league office judges what he said as criticism.

There is precedent for the league fining an owner for what some might consider nothing worthy of a fine. Art Rooney, October 2006 (link):

...Rooney did not mince words in the aftermath of a bitter defeat, one in which he clearly felt referee Ron Winter's crew was in error on several calls.​

That was enough for Rooney to draw a $25,000 fine. Jones may not get hit with one, but I would be interested in how much it will be. Of course, he could not care less if he gets one. A fine will not amount to even chump change for him, lol.

He's wrong. Go back and examine the last 25 years of penalty stats. The Cowboys are nearly ALWAYS in the top 5 for most calls against. No matter what coaches, players, schemes, it doesn't matter. All of which has been changed many times over, and yet the penalty calls against Dallas remain consistent.

Meanwhile, GB and Pittsburgh are nearly ALWAYS in the bottom 5. Go ahead. See for yourself at any of the various stats sites.

It most certainly does NOT "even out over time". The league has its darlings and dogs, and the refs clearly understand this.

For example, the Cowboys have had ZERO seasons in the last 25 where they were called for 80 penalties or less. The Packers and Steelers both had more than 10 such seasons in that time.
