65% of the Zone predicted a losing season in that poll.

Only 10% predicted a win total that would make the playoffs

I’d say people were pretty realistic, which shows me that the people wailing and gnashing their teeth are, by and large, just being dramatic.

I was told Dak is so great against blitzes. Had to read it for years and years how great he is against that. And that its a mistake to blitz him because he is able to make you pay.

Now all of a sudden the narrative changes and sounds like blitzing isnt what Dak is good at?!

I wrote it in my score prediction post: Dak is a one read QB. Thats what is able to do. He is good at only that. He looks good against the blitz because of that. He has his hot read and delivers.

Flores plays a complex scheme behind his blitzes. That to take away the first read option. To beat that you actually need a QB who can play the game. Eho k ow how to read a defense and is abke to go thru his progression on a constant basis. And not once in 10 times.

The problem at our QB #1 position has nothing to do with blitzes. DAk is not a NFL QB. Its as simple as that. As long as the defense is bad enough an OC can scheme his first read open. Then he looks good. But if thazät fails and your OC needs real NFL QB skills to succeed your done with Prescott.

You obviously didn't see Josh Allen against the Texans, or even a bad Geno Smith behind a Raider OL weekly, or Lamar Jackson when his OL breaks down, as examples. Almost as if there's some positive relationship for a Steele, Thomas, or Spann-Ford (just to name a few) when it comes to defending their performances. Take the last 2 weeks alone. Our OL salvation is the D is worse.
