I love Dak Prescott as my Quarterback

You deserve Dak as your QB….

2 playoff wins in 10 years
Deserve or not, hes our QB...you're stuck with something you don't think you deserve...that must really suck. We can all see that it consumes you. Maybe you do deserve him!!

Dak is a good quarterback. But Dak is also an unreasonable allocation of cap dollars on a team that has the thinnest veneer of a defense. Unfortunately (IMO) the team is saddled with his contract for at least another season. I wish the best to the player and person who currently wears ‘4’ for Dallas, but I’d rather the team had a lesser player and contract at QB - AND a half dozen or so other serviceable-to-good players Dak’s cap impact could otherwise cover. I may be alone in that camp - but that was my position when the deal was done, now, and going forward.

Dak would be playing for another team if Jerry Jones hadn’t made him an overwhelming offer to get him to remain the Cowboys’ quarterback. Somehow Dak’s the Cowboys’ problem. He’s doing everything he can to win games for the Cowboys. Jerry Jones is doing everything he can to sell another logo key chain to yet another nitwit.

The team has a “serviceable-to-good” quarterback. It still needs a serviceable owner.

They ripped him for thinking of and being charitable and considerate to the service workers and behind the scenes people at The Star. You haven't read the threads.
The reality is that people do not care about his personal life. I've never met him. He earns $60 million a year with $231 million guaranteed over 4 years. Good luck to him.

He has never played in an NFC Championship game 10 years into his career. That's what I care about. Whatever he says or does outside of throwing a football is completely irrelevant to me. I support the Dallas Cowboys. I do not solely support individuals and that includes Dak Prescott. In 10 years time legitimate Dallas Cowboys fans won't even give him a second thought after blowing their nose.

I support the team not the individual.

Those who criticise Dak Prescott do so because it's their view (including mine) that the Dallas Cowboys will never win a Superbowl with Dak Prescott as the quarterback. That's based on his performance in two play off defeats against the 49ers and the fact that he has not played in an NFC Championship game over 10 years. In one of those play off defeats the Cowboys defense kept the 49ers under 20 points, Dak was sacked less and turned the ball over more than the opposing quarterback.

From what Dak Prescott has shown in the play offs over the last 10 years he will never win a Superbowl for any team unless he has a Ravens type team with Trent Dilfer which firstly, has a very small % chance of happening and secondly, if it did happen then most starting quarterback in the league would also win the Superbowl in which case why restrict the team by paying Dak $231 million guaranteed over 4 years?

The reality is that genuine Dallas Cowboy fans what to win a Superbowl. Dak Prescott being paid $231 million guaranteed over 4 years in a salary cap era reduces those chances significantly and that's why those fans who want to a Superbowl wish that the team would move on from him.

I know people are thinking "This always comes after we beat the Commanders"

um not really because this year some of Dak's best games were against the Eagles and Packers..... 2 Top 10 defenses in both passing and scoring defense. And against the Chiefs, Dak was all Pro. And you can say the Chiefs were no good this year, but right before Mahomes' injury he was about to drive for at least a field goal, possibly a Touchdown to win the game - and the rest of their schedule was soft. If they beat the Broncos they might very well have been a 10 win team and got into the playoffs. So Mahomes' injury had a lot to do with the suppression of the Chiefs. This Dak plays bad against good teams thing needs to be retired if this year is proof of anything.

He's a Pro Bowl selection in 2 out of the last 3 years. Besides Jackson, Darnold, Stafford, and Allen - who else has been Pro Bowl selections in 2 out of their last 3 years? Dak is far from being done. I think he's gonna last longer than Jackson because running Quarterbacks have a shorter lifespan. He'll likely last longer than Burrow because of his excessive injuries. By 2030 you might still be hearing about Dak while some of his peers will have faded. So get used to it, Dak isn't going anywhere.... neither out of Dallas or out of the NFL. Dumbest take to think Dak ever looked like he was about to fade out of relevance, or ever threatened to be out of the league at any point of his career.

A lot of the hate for him was already building in the last 2 or 3 years of Romo... like from 2013 on. People were thinking 'Romo is nice, but he's more like Danny White. The next guy is gonna be Aikman." They had that fantasy pre-programmed for years, and when they learned that they weren't getting their next Aikman, their fantasy blew up in their face. They threw a hissy fit and built up anger towards the guy they think blocked them from obtaining a Mahomes caliber Quarterback. But fact is... Dak didn't block us from getting a Mahomes. The draft is a lottery ticket.... you get lucky you don't get lucky. For most of any team's franchise history.... you're not getting the best or one of the best QBs in the league. it's just fact. You just have to deal with that low likelihood. Also, i really don't care if we don't have the best QB in the league.

But with that said.... how far behind the best QB is he even? I think it's silly to put him out of the Top 10. Even Top 8 is probably low for him because who can honestly name many better names? You can name the clear exhibits, but after that is a matter of opinion. He easily can be argued as Top 5 or 6 if he has regularly appeared on Pro Bowl ballots for 2 out of the last 3 years. We're talking initial selections, not replacement selections. So hes not that far from being one of the best. But even if he isn't one of the best..... none of you date the hottest, or one of the hottest girls on the planet. Do you not love her all the same? I can love Dak even if he isn't the best.

You can crucify him for those 2 games against the Golden Gaters, but what about those other playoff games? Against Rodgers, it was a Quarterback dual - and those kinda games favors the guy who got the football last..... that was Rodgers. If anything, Garrett and his clock management and his electing to kick an early field goal not understanding that the game was not gonna be low scoring was more to blame than the Quarterback. Against the Rams, Dak was normal. No one's saying he was exceptional..... he was just normal. Normal is good enough against McVay at that time of the year, against one of his better teams. The defense was anything but normal. it was awful and gave up 300 yards rushing. Against the Packers, while Dak precipitated our demise with his picks.... the defense ultimately had the final say. They gave up an opening Touchdown drive, followed by a 95 yard Touchdown drive, and that would be right in the middle of 5 straight Touchdown drives surrendered to Jordan Love. It's a joke that a game can effectively be over after 3 failed offensive drives.....only the Cowboys can let such a thing happen...... the defense was definitely the much bigger issue that game. One of those first 3 failed drives was also a drop by Lamb on 3rd down.

So overall..... how many real opportunities has he had where he was given much of a normal chance non-obfuscated by the blunders of his defense or his coach? Just the 2 against the Golden Gaters. Against the Packers and Rams he had absolutely no chance with how awful the team played overall. And against Rodgers he had a chance but he just wasn't on the field when Rodgers hit that last sideline pass, nor was he on the field during the walk off field goal.

So in short .... he may never get us to the Super Bowl, or we even win one with him..... but i don't know about you guys.... I'm sure gonna well enjoy him trying.
So be happy with mediocrity
Jerry loves you.

.....so going forward......every time I see a missed tackle, a big hole for a RB call "Bill" to take it to the house, several guys being trucked downfield, LBs no where in sight or gaps, a DB's only tackle is a horse collar, and Jaxson Dart who's looked terrible the last 2 weeks suddenly slings for 250 yds and 2 TDs next week..........you're on to something.......shame on you Dak, you too Cee Dee, and the Front Office draft team.

He’s yours too if you’re a Cowboy fan. Some of yall ought to take off till Dak retires then come back smh!

Oh and our previous QB Romo had 2 playoff wins as well in 10 years but that’s different I’m sure

I think its bigger than the QB but I guess its easier to just dwell on the player you don’t like
And Romo got his fair share of shiz too..didn't he? EVen 10 years later still gettin it.

Pro Bowl is a popularity contest. Dak was not rated in the top 5 of QBs by any measure in 2023 (Allen, Burrow, Mahomes, etc.) were all ahead of him. Now we got guys like Caleb Williams and even Bryce Young who are outplaying Dak. YOU can't see it...because you think Dak made CeeDee and Pickens. They were good LONG before they met Dak and if you gave those QBs those weapons they would look good to. Plus just keep throwing first round picks at bodyguards for the QB.

If the guy is making $60mm/year and eats up 25% of the cap, you ABSOLUTELY point the finger at him...especially if you have thrown more resources to prop him up.
You lose all credibility when you try to prop up Bryce Young

I tried to tell you to not even try and give Dak props, bro.

Once you do it they expect you to be like them and do it forever.

It's best to just hate on him 24/7, because he's always going to be a loser. So you'll always be right at the end of the day.
Yes...I don't get why it has to be only one way or the other. I give Dak shizz AND credit. But I'm secretly a Dak hater using code to disguise it.

Why? Why would I do that? Why would I bother creating fake content and code if I hated him? This whole ting make people nuts.
