I just noticed that not only did you and Rambo logically pick the Cowboys to go 11-6 this year.

You both also completely logically picked them to go 5-0 in their last 5 games.

Agree....there's options they can do. Restructure, release and trade.
Restructure a couple of the big deals we have...CeeDee, Dak , Big Q, Smith?
Release Steele and Diggs
Trade Osa?

The Eagles and Rams make these deals work with the intention of getting ring or two. The Cowboys have a small window and it's time to get aggressive and set the team up for a run.
With the offense the cowboys have they can score on anyone, but the defense needs a reboot, not necessarily an overhaul, just enough to get us to average, so the offense can have a little room to breathe.

However, that is not how Jerry operates.
 
This is way too much for Crosby.........In fact, I have serious reservation offering OUR 1st. I'm OK with GB 1st and perhaps a 2027 3rd. No way I'm giving up TWO 1st rounders for him. That's Myles Garrett territory......





THIS is I'd be careful with compensation ( age, contract, injury concern)

New England and Jacksonville have pulled themselves up by the bootstraps and are “in the conversation”. That’s a fact. The Cowboys are farting around with a $60 million per year quarterback considering whether or not they should sign a top ten NFL receiver. Like they can’t figure out if they should or not.

Jerry Jones is not capable of managing any NFL franchise to ultimate success in the contemporary NFL. At this point it’s part of the team’s charm. Like the Chicago Cubs, at one time.

Cut Clark and you are 2/3 of the way there with Crosby.

Better yet, see if they’ll take him to offset some of the cost.

Doubt they do it since they are rebuilding but it doesn’t hurt to try. Maybe their owner can sell it to fans like ours did, lol.

All those restructures are going to be needed just to pay Pickens and fill out the roster.

If not for an awful owner the Cowboys might have a prayer.

And the Eagles were last year’s champs. They certainly are not going to be this year. The Giants beat them, too. Are you ready to say they’re close?

Tag and trade Pickens for Crosby.

Raiders have cap space and they can afford to pay Pickens $35M/year.

Raiders can attempt to replace Crosby with the number 1 pick.

Yeah, if I had to choose, I would pick Maxx and go with Flournoy as #2. We still had a high powered pass attack in 2023 (I think league tops in scoring) with no major #2 wr. I think Flournoy can be a really good number 2 with some of what he showed this year……I would rather see all our resources go to the D.
