RELEASED Cowboys have released cornerback Trevon Diggs

Just not the same player post knee injuries. Add in his lousy me first attitude and. I guarantee money left, he was a goner. Did him a favor as he can latch on with a playoff team now
Right cuz they could have easily just deactivated him for the final game

Film against the Commanders was terrible........sometimes removing a problem is better than spending time trying to solve it.

It's hard to be happy with this team right now.

But in this case with Diggs I think the nature of this move was carefully calculated due to the individual.

IMO Diggs has not been "team friendly".
I agree with you completely. I think I’m just frustrated overall but he certainly did not earn himself any benefit of the doubt. I’m one who actually liked him and think he played well all things considered up to the injuries/attitude. I thought we got a cornerstone when we drafted him and now here we are again back to square one

I have a different take on this.

Everyone has stripes and spots. They are what they are.

If you made a bad purchase that isn't something you blame on the seller. No matter how upset you are it is always a buyer beware world.
I don't think you're wrong, but I do think its gets very nuanced.

If it didnt Randy Moss would've been a Dallas Cowboy. Some guys mature, some guys play you from go. It takes an extremely savy GM to make all the right calls.

Wasn't a bad contract at all. He signed it before the injury. If he had kept getting better, it would actually be a great deal for us.

Just watched enough NFL football to know when certain players will probably never come back. He was already a gambler and not as disciplined as he should be and got by on raw talent and #11 forcing bad throws along with DQ's pressure heavy defense that catered to guys like him that could be ball hawks. But like was consistently pointed out, still had some bad coverage stats if you took out the INTs. Once he had the injury, and then another one, and a defense that wasn't meant for guys like him, I figured he was a goner. The clincher is the Scissorgate, or HDTV Collapsegate, and some of the weird stuff behind the scenes. Some drama always going on with them Diggs Boys. Agree with @Stash @Reality and others that guess they brought him back to play to keep injury settlements out of the mix. Pro football but still some basic business realities, no different than other lines of work.

Someone will pick him up. Always CBs going down late in the season. And he still has a small shot to get back to his previous greatness, but he is going to have to change now or it won't happen again. His bro was having a great comeback year, he can again too, but I doubt it. His big bro hasn't changed at all with those strangulation charges now in the mix.

Geez. I walk away from the "zone" for 30 minutes, only to come back to this news of Diggs! And we're on page 12!!! Guess I've got to be more vigilant!! LOL
In all seriousness, I wish Diggs well wherever he ends up.

Watch him go to the Bears and tear it up like Nashon Wright has.
If we all believe that both Harris and Quinn had to cover up for Diggs at Dallas, why in the heck would they want to bring that hassle back into their worlds?

More than likely I could see Patriots, Packers or possibly the Rams who could use last minute CB help.

I think he clears waivers, and then the calls will come flooding in to Diggs and whoever is his agent.

To those saying playoff bound teams will pick him up, I think you can exclude the Pats with his brother’s ongoing mess. Why would anyone want a corner that affords a generous 10 yard cushion on 3rd and 5? You can do better by lining up a statue instead of Diggs.

They’ve been pissed at him since he decided to rehab on his own.
