I don't think you're wrong, but I do think its gets very nuanced.

If it didnt Randy Moss would've been a Dallas Cowboy. Some guys mature, some guys play you from go. It takes an extremely savy GM to make all the right calls.

The reason I say the stripes and spots comment is that most people under good situations can be team friendly.

But when things get tough most revert back to their core characteristics and how they survive under duress.

Some people rise above their challenges. Others turtle and the negative parts of their personality finally rears its ugly head.

It wouldn't suprise me in the hidden surveys Diggs is one of the Dallas players who gives negative comments about the franchise training staff.

In my view he should have been cut or traded 17 weeks back. But I guess we can view this as being a proactive cut ahead of the 2026 season
