Somebody will fall to 12

This. I love Hill who can be had at the end of round 1 or early 2. He may end up being better. If they trade down 3 or 4 spots and took Styles, I could live with that.
Exactly.......don't wanna get caught up in Styles media attention and overdraft. Especially if we can draft Hill or Allen and get the same production with a late 1st or early 2nd.

Even in a weaker draft there will be very good players who can help this team at 12, or lower if we trade down. There will always be the overdrafting of a QB or two plus a couple of mistakes.

I think if Faulk is there at 12, the Cowboys will take him. The Cowboys have been looking for.a big strong defensive end for years.
Really hope not, he doesn't give much in the pass rush department. Understand how he was used in the Auburn defense but I don't see much bend or explosiveness in the player coming off the edge.

6’5 285lbs you can’t teach that. Could be Leonard Williams next to Quinnen potentially. Cowboys bend guy is EZ. With the return of Clowney and the other defensive tackles, Faulk would complete our front 4.

Would much rather have a player like Howell or Bailey who have proven they can get after the QB. Don't think Faulk will be a bad player but we need to put the QB in the dirt.

FYI
There is a clip of Jerry admitting that staff and scouts had to talk him into drafting Micah Parsons. They assured him Parsons would be more than just an off-ball LBer. Otherwise, he was NOT drafting an off-ball LBer that high.

Take it for what it's worth
They did draft Lve in 1st rd, right where the Packers pick might land.

Not gonna disagree. Those are good options as well.

Personally, I can't see Mauigoa not going in the top 10. He's a beast.

Tyson either, assuming he's healthy.
WR Tate almost certainly is going before us

And yes, it's safe to say either OTs Mauioga or Fano will go before us...maybe both.

I think TE Sadiq and Edge Faulk have a "fairly" high probability too

Sadiq is a unique player. I think many teams won't have him high on their boards, but he could be interesting in the right system. Would be great if someone took him top 11.

Maybe so on Tate, you'd have to think he's probably as close to bust-proof as you can get.

I think if the right team drafts Sadiq (ie. right QB and system), by this time next year we could be saying “how did so many teams pass on that guy.”

Realizing that Mock are just that.....

Was curious, so I looked at 5 mocks from 5 entirely different sources.

3 of 5
Mauioga, Fano, Tyson, Faulk

2 of 5
none

1 of 5
Styles, Delane, McCoy, Lemon, Terrell,

might be off 1 or 2, but something like that

Potential Chief.

I'M really hoping a team ahead of us really falls in love with Faulks measurables and takes him before even Bain or Bailey.

If Downs, Bailey, Reese or Bain are there, I rush the card up and have a cigar. Otherwise, I am trading back. There are just too many needs and I don't believe any CB in this draft is worth a top 20 grade. I wouldn't overdraft for need.
We need MIKE, S, EDGE, and CB. If CBs not there, mayber we can def fill these gaps in the draft and address CB in free agency if there are any solid options.

At least Dallas is off the hook from the long-term financial burden of the Diggs contract, since the Packers claimed him and his contract in the process.

I hope we sign an up and comer LB like Leo Chanel and go get Jamel Dean to play CB. That'd make the draft more approachable. Or get Bobby Wagner at LB. The guy's still balling and might like playing behind Clark and the man, QW.

its very rare that a player that shows little pass rush in college suddenly becomes a real threat in the pros
we have been down this road can't teach that well if you can;t rush you can;t rush
