John Harbaugh and Giants are working to finalize agreement to make him HC

Dudes the AFCs version of Jason Garrett. When was the last time anyone actually feared the Ravens? I dont see why an older and outdated head coach is gonna change a culture at 64 years old.
I never thought I'd hear a HOF coach compared to Howdy Doody. When Gareet ever wins a SB or reaches a championship game I'll take that seriously.

How many head coaches who have won a Super Bowl went to another team and won another one? I'll hang up and listen. He and McCarthy are very similar

They got the starting QB, good WR duo when Nabers comes back, really good LT, good run game, loaded Dline…..they can trade back with their first and pick up a couple more D positions or OL and pick up a couple FA…..they can instantly be better than last year, especially of the coordinators end up being good choices.
they can, but i feel like i've been buying Giants futures, for a decade. things just never seem to pan out for them. here's to the trend continuing.

Jason Garrett probably fumbled at least one SB with his robotic learn on the job schtick. I think Schotty isn’t in the same tier with Garrett. Schotty is above that. How much above Garrett’s tier remains to be seen.

I think Harbaugh will drag the Giants out of the abyss, but he may drag them all the way up to mediocre. This hire doesn’t make the Giants contenders. It makes the Giants no longer a doormat.

I think we will see an immediate improvement in the Giants and probably make the playoffs, but not be relevant as a serious SB contender. After a few years you will see the Giants tail off toward mediocrity again as they pick mid in each round.

Don't disagree. But if he pulls them up to mediocre then they are at least on our level, if not better. The nfc is tough as is, now our division will be better.

They also have a young QB, we have dak for at most 2 years and then no plan after.

I just wish we went for it. Look at what Sean Payton did in Denver as well. Sometimes you pair the right coach with the right team and things work out. Look at when we had bill parcells, he did more with lesser teams. Coaching in the NFL matters.

Maybe schotty turns out to be a great coach, but we sacrifice year after year so Jerry can win with "his guy". Only to find out that person wasn't the answer. Rinse and repeat.

What’s the difference between him and Mike McCarthy? I get Harbaugh has a great reputation but people are forgetting be got fired because sucked. Or his performance sucked.
LOL.

Man you love doing this.

You also said Wagner was washed. Then he proceeded to be an all pro 2 more seasons.

Let me ask you this.

Whats the difference between Harbaugh and Schottenheimer?

He's turned that whole team around. They hadn't even had a winning record since their last SB. And he did it while having to deal with Russell Wilson's contract. That is legendary. Wouldn't doubt they win a SB in the near future. You can't win a SB every year but at least you can compete. McCarthy is probably the best we can do here because the way Jerry operates this team. This team is cursed.
i didn't think there was any way he could salvage that situation. what he's done is nothing short of remarkable.

This is true. Jerry would have been criticized for this move.

I think this is a very solid move by the Giants. But I’m not sure that Harbaugh is the coach that many believe he is. There was a reason that he became available this offseason.
Yup, Lamar's hamstring.

When they had a great D. Like a year ago.

Good hire. Even at worst, if all he does is improve the Giants to a 7 or 8 win team, that would be bad for the Cowboys since they might not have 2 layup wins on their schedule every year anymore.
