Good hire. Even at worst, if all he does is improve the Giants to a 7 or 8 win team, that would be bad for the Cowboys since they might not have 2 layup wins on their schedule every year anymore.

They already beat us this year, and it took a miracle 64 yd FG in regulation to beat them the first time. And they have a top 5 pick, a developing rook QB, and now a legit HC.

And the season before we beat them by 7 and 5. They really have not been layups the last 2 years already.

Best HC Giants will have in a decade. Harbaugh isnt an all-timer but the Giants should be vastly improved. They also have some good young foundational players too.

I agree with you but I wouldn't go as far as saying he stinks but I think the overreactions are already getting old it's like went viral.... I mean it's say insane and the spin going on now about the Giants are gonna be on top the NFC East is in trouble the NFC landscape has changed as if we have yet to see a head coach who is a Super Bowl winner on one team switch teams and win another Super Bowl let alone create a dynasty and like all of A sudden flip a switch..

Smart teams make smart hires. Giants will win again with Harbaugh, a disciplined smart coach from good stock , while jerry is experimenting with his weaker obedient coaches. From watching Hard Knocks, it is obvious Shcotty is light , simplistic and does not have the respect of the team. He is a nice guy who has been around the game a lot, but is not a difference maker at all.

Don't disagree. But if he pulls them up to mediocre then they are at least on our level, if not better. The nfc is tough as is, now our division will be better.

They also have a young QB, we have dak for at most 2 years and then no plan after.

I just wish we went for it. Look at what Sean Payton did in Denver as well. Sometimes you pair the right coach with the right team and things work out. Look at when we had bill parcells, he did more with lesser teams. Coaching in the NFL matters.

Maybe schotty turns out to be a great coach, but we sacrifice year after year so Jerry can win with "his guy". Only to find out that person wasn't the answer. Rinse and repeat.

Unfortunately we as fans have very little say in what Jerry does. So we are stuck with riding with whoever Jerry hires.

People have to be careful what they wish for. We could replace Schotty with someone worse.

I think many did not like Garrett, but were very afraid the next guy might be worse than Garrett. I think most of us had “Garrett fatigue” by the end of Garrett’s run and were ready to see someone else get a shot even if they ended up being worse.

At least with Schotty he is not obviously bad. He seems to be bringing the most accountability since Parcells. But that DC hire—whoa—I think we were all ready for a change there.
