That’s a reasonable improvement. If we can add two good players from draft and sign one really good FA it’s doable. To put it perspective to go from last to 16th this year woukd have been 7 less points per game given up. That’s not a huge stretch. 2-3 more plays of defense could make that much difference

Young coach with fresh new ideas that was brought along under Fangio. Specialty is the secondary so this could be huge for Shavon Revel and Caelon Carson's futures as well.

That part. It’s interesting as candidates what makes Leonard better? Seems like the same level of candidate. I just don’t know how long you wait when even as a homer I can’t sell you on you why you should take this job over Giants or Packers.

The two differences in job experience are Leonhard was a college DC (and interm HS), and Parker has been an NFL coach longer.

Hiring Parker is definitely outside the norm for Jerry. Does that mean maybe a fresh approach to roster construction, FA, etc?

What I'm also intrigued by is the guy has zero ties to the org. So lets say he is a home run but we still can't get over the hump under Schotty....you have a young, future HC type guy in place and he wasn't put there because you are good friends with him or his family.or being an ex Cowboy....he just cut his teeth with you.

If we could add one stud on D in FA and hit on both picks, that’s huge. I’d look at an edge in FA. I think that’s gonna be the hardest to get in draft. I see multiple mocks with us taking Styles at 12. He could really help this team. Then add a CB later. Always depends on who’s there but we have to hit on thrse 2 first rnd picks. Can’t afford a wiff
