Seems to me that Solomon Thomas gave us some pretty solid play.

Maybe this is just PFF being lazy, but there are several other free agents who could have qualified for worst: DE Payton Turner didn't play a down for us. Neither did G Robert Jones. RB Miles Sanders played a little and was OK, but then got hurt and was lost for the year. LB Jack Sanborn was similar to Sanders in that he played some before missing the rest of the year after getting hurt, but he did not even play OK. Of the free agents who played all year, DE Dante Fowler was quite a bit worse than Thomas IMO. Thomas, Clowney and Javonte Williams were the only good signings we made.

I just watched a game where our corners were Byron Jones, Awuzie and Anthony Brown. It was a Marinelli-coached defense and we were blitzing and stunting and getting all kinds of pressure (granted, it was against the Giants). I felt myself being jealous of that defense that allowed 13 points to New York.

How the heck is Solomen Thomas anywhere close to the worst FA we signed especially when Peyton Turner never played a snap or Sanborn wasn't even taken off IR because he played so badly?

I suspect that the cost of the contracts might have figured into it.

TBH, I still don't understand a methodology that claims to grade every player on every play.
