I predict no wrong doing will be found but he'll withold draft picks. What a racket. The criminals get to police themselves, conduct their own investigations , Levy their own punishment, if any. We are in the last days. We have guys getting into the pro bowl like Sheduer Sanders. It's a sick joke. We got bunny rabbits entertaining us at a SB.. and an actual NFL team had a friggin giant easter bunny in the lockerroom for inspiration. The NFL has cultivated on PURPOSE, an agenda of passivity and softness. Now we are told the refs are wonderful. It reminds me of the Twilight zone episode where the little boy (Billy mummy) sends anyone to the cornfield that he disagrees with. Goodell clearly hates the fans. Doesn't care what we think or want. He's trying to replace the current fan demographic with another. That's why all the gaslighting. Watch an NFL broadcast and you'll notice quickly what I mean. The messaging from the announcers and on the field. We get told during games on commercial breaks how basically bad we are. I can't mention it. So the officiating comments by Roger simply means "let them eat cake. "

To clear this up, ask yourself: What is he hired for? Answer: To take the heat off the owners.

So, why would he say that? Because the owners are starting to hear the rumbling of how bad the officiating is. So, he's simply taking the heat off the owners.

I still find it just incomprehensible how many of you fall for this.

That’s his entire job. That’s why they even have a commissioner. It’s not like he has any power they don’t let him have. He’s a puppet

That's fair. The good shouldn't overshadow the bad though. The good and bad both can be simultaneously true and factual. One doesn't cancel out the other. Big picture, the NFL needs to be better.

Improvement is always welcome . But we can’t dismiss the accomplishments made.

Take a step back and think about all of the obstacles Goodell has guided the league thru.

Do we need a history lesson?

IMO we’ve taken much of the officiating out of their hands with basically most every call reviewed.

Apparently officials aren’t capable of calling a TD , reception , 1st down or turnover anymore.

They are even going to begin reviewing some penalties .

We’ve basically taken officiating away from them.

Fans will never be satisfied with some calls going against their team. It’s the nature of the game. It’s not meant to be perfection.

Meanwhile there are a certain group of teams continually getting screwed. That list includes the Cowboys, Bills, Lions, Saints (ever since Bounty Gate), and, admittingly, the Giants.

Of course he is going to say that. He is the commissioner responsible for them. But at least he could blame it on some of the rules and how difficult it is to officiate the rules as they are written - some of them.

I am not sure how AI is going to help. Will AI determine the spot of the ball based not on visual evidence but some kind of calculation of ball position when a player is tackles and the ball is not visible to the eye?
