I am not surprised with the character's live action introduction. Spider-Man Noir has been around for 15-20 years or so and Disney/Marvel has barely scratched the surface of its character inventory.

Casting Nicholas Cage does surprise me. A 60-something year old actor? Playing a 30-ish something (or maybe slightly younger than that) comic book character? Okay. lol.

Everything else looks spot on. Scenery and cinematography are comic book accurate. Hope the script is up to the task.

Cage looks like they did a bad makeup job on him. Maybe part of the story is that something happened that made him look much older?

Anime lovers will likely enjoy this more than others. This creator took clips from several anime series and synchronized fight sound effects with Earth, Wind and Fire’s Boogie Wonderland:



Extremely well done. I recognized almost all the series involved. Even Naruto, which I am not the biggest fan and haven’t watched everything connected with it.

Dang, I haven't watched anime in so long that I didn't recognize any of those clips other than Naruto and I've never seen Naruto I just know it because it's so recognizable haha. I got to get back into watching it seems.

If you are open to suggestions for action-oriented anime series, I highly recommend Solo Leveling, Jujitsu Kaisen, and Demon Slayer, in that order.

I appreciate the animated series (The Clone Wars, Rebels, etc.) for expanding on such a great character. In my opinion, it would have been a shame for his one-shot, meaningful screen appearance to have ended in Episode One: The Phantom Menace. Now, he is being showcased in his own series. Nice.

That's Sam Witner's voice. He does a lot of voice work for video games and animation. He does live action work also. I remember him best as Crashdown from the reimagined Battlestar Galactica.

Witner has been the primary voice actor for Darth Maul since The Clone Wars series. His voice was even dubbed for Park's in the latter's appearance in Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Two years later, Park's voice was used in the epic four-episode finale of TCW (another actor voiced Maul's few lines in the prequel). I thought the actor switch was permanent, but it is likely his British accent worked against him again. That is strange since a BUNCH of Star Wars actors have always been British lol.

What @DallasEast said. Lucas Films went with the Maul most are used to hearing, Sam Witwer.

Ironically, I more familiar with Sam Witwer voicing Starkiller in The Force Unleashed video game.

I unconditionally surrender about the name. Just a flat-out brain fart. I will fight back with the sharpest pocket protector about his other roles because I know all of the ones mentioned. Even Starkiller, because I played the game.

Remembered him in Being Human, enjoyed it a lot, and his screentime was vastly more involved, BUT I still remember him best as Crashdown. Then again, I am a huge BSG fan by comparison to BH.
