I love the Nolan trilogy and love Bale's Batman but sadly Bale hates the character and being in the suit. His favorite scenes are when he's just Bruce and he's the one who pushed Nolan to make the trilogy less Batman focused as the movies went on.

That's my problem with a lot of modern movies that go for "realism" in a fight scene over watchability. Movies are made to be watched and to be entertaining, not be a chaotic jumble that is hard to follow visually.

Reading a fellow Man of Steel fan's comments is a lot like seeing another Cowboys fan in my neck of Saints' territory. In other words, not often, lol.

I wonder how much the prep that you gave Cavill credit for had a role too. By the third Batman film, he was more muscle suit than a chiseled Batman. I would think some of these guys who weren't into that before the role, don't always look forward to the mass protein and muscle gain for these roles.

To be fair, Waititi really bombed that movie with his chaotic style. Ragnarok was good, IMO, but he went full stupid for Love and Thunder.
I felt like had they done a proper job building up Gorr, and given Bale more screen time, it would of been a much better movie. Too much on silly humor, especially right after emotional scenes.

That being said, I too wish he returned, but outside of the Nolan Trilogy, has Bale ever really been in sequels? Feels like he's an one and done actor for roles.
Also, at the end of the trilogy, felt like a proper ending for Batman in that universe.

I pretty much agree with everything except that I feel Taiki Waititi failed Thor: Ragnarok too. Cate Blanchett, Tessa Thompson, and Karl Urban were perfectly cast in my opinion--especially Blanchett. Her Hela was near perfect for me.

Jeff Goldblum and his direction of the entire Grandmaster subplot in particular was too much Taiki. Just barf worthy.

His Korg characterization was not bad. He could have allowed everyone else to be dramatically sound and had Korg be the comedic relief. Nope. He found it necessary to Taiki practically the entire movie. Sad.

True. Can see that as well.
While I didn't mind the first two Thor movies and their darker tone, there were definitely some overdone scenes with the Grandmaster in the 3rd movie. Felt like we needed more Hela and extended battles with the Warriors three having more of a fight with Hela. Just were just killed off quickly.

Blanchett was perfect as Hela.
Didn't even realize that was Urban, until the credits, first time watching the movie.

I am not certain I have seen Karl Urban act poorly in a fantasy or science fiction film or tv show. Roman emperor? Check. Calvary commander? Check. Doctor? Check. Revenge fueled secret agent? Check. Guy does it all and does it well.

I read no Jean Grey. That sucks. Very cool to have Cyclops with the blue/yellow classic uniform. Still remember his line in the very first X-Men movie to Wolverine when they put on their black leather costumes... "What? You'd rather wear blue and yellow spandex?" :laugh:

They don't show Gambit either in that so maybe the rumor is true they are starting a new X-Men team right after this with Channing Tatum in the Gambit role.

I saw the link for the Thor one, I saw the Captain America one, that's the X-Men one, is there anything else out there that is official for the new Avengers movie? So freaking hard to find the legit trailers these days with so many fan-made ones blurred in the search.

Yeah all this AI stuff is absurd. I don't even know if this ones real haha. I just thought it looked kinda cool. I might of been duped. I just love the Xmen and fingers crossed they nail it.

It’s fake, but very much based on what’s reported to be in the X-Men Avengers Doomsday trailer.
 
Yeah that's very much A.I. I've seen the real leaked one that Disney keeps taking down and it's great. Especially the last shot. Best teaser yet by far.

I found the original. They basically did an AI mockup of the original trailer which was what fooled me. Everything but the Beast and Nightcrawler shots are from the original. Cyclops is a bad mofo in this new Avengers movie. Finally giving him his due I guess. He's basically been the Captain America of the mutants since the 1960's comics.

I'm glad they are going back to serious on Thor. Ragnarok was okay, and for sure more entertaining than the first and second flicks, but the fourth one and the beer belly in the Avengers movies? C'mon.

The A.I. slop is outta control, especially on YouTube. To help me avoid sharing A.I. slop, I try only linking trailers from official YouTube channels: Warner Bros, Sony Pictures, DC, Marvel, etc. :thumbup:
